Setting up ads on the Woocommerce Site

Hi Folks, this is my third attempt of setting up the Ezoic ads on my site and I need your help in setting up.

Earlier when I ran the ads, I excluded the following pages but unfortunately ezoic did not honor the rules and ads keep showing on to them. Those pages were:
a. /shop/
b. /collections/
c. /my-account/ and all pages in which has /my-account/ in the URL.
d. /thank-you/
e. Home Page
f. /cart/
g. /check-out/
and a few important conversation pages.

these pages gets less than 5% of the traffic. So, I wanted to exclude them and run the ads on all the posts and pages.

Let me know if you can achieve it.

Also the second issue was that ezoic caching and speed tool Leap broke the eCommerce system.

We'd like to go for it, if you can do the set up correctly.

I have taken a look at the set up of the disabled ads by page app and it looks like you have chosen the rule type of directory rather than page which might be why the ads were still showing. Heather Yes you'r right.
I used the page rule as I wanted to disable ads on all the /collections/ directory as they all are products.

I've copied the settings here for your reference.

Permanent links where the ads will run are structured as : root/slug-slug-slug/ for example: https://abanahomes.com/how-to-fix-the-snake-plant-mushy-leaves/ (there is no specific directly there).

Integrated using Wordpress Plugin as I was not sure to handover the control using cloud integration whether it will break the pages or not. Please review and let me know.

I can see that you have integrated via WordPress, all looks well on my end. If you would like to change to cloud integration I can assure that your site will not be harmed.

Ofcourse I can move to Cloud Integration if you can help me smoothening of user experience. Last time it went awry and I had to pull it off completely.

Since ezoic had the control, it kept showing ads on the cart, checkout and my-account pages, despite I excluded them.
The css and js broke. I'm no-techy to fix them by looking into the codes but yes, you can ask me to do something and I can make those changes anywhere - the code, the server etc.
The goal is to monetize 95% of the pages where I get the max traffic but maintaining the good user experience as they're potential customers of good ticket size. And to exclude the woocommerce pages (cart, checkout, shop, shop/, my-account/, collections/,thank-you/)

If we can achieve it, we are more than happy to go ahead with the cloud integration.

Ads impressions have started coming up. But the revenue column is blank. How does it work? Is there any issue in showing up the ads.

urpio The reporting updates next day at 9am PST and so we would expect to see the reporting start to fill in about 8 hours time. For the ads I have noticed that the consent management app isn't filled out, this could be impacting your ad fill rate. Please can you fill this out here in your Ezoic dashboard: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/settings/privacy/consentmanagement

When I was looking at your site i noticed that the menu wasn't working correctly and so have switched off Leap for the time being to see if this impacts it and we can then go from there. When you have a moment please can you clear your sites cache and let me know when you have done this and we can then go from there. many thanks

I did the suggested changes 7 hours ago. Also I had to disable the caching plugin (WP Super Cache) as it broke all the images.

I can see decent pageviews and engagement but nothing in the revenue column. And I've seen good amount of ads appearing on most of the pages.

I had this issue in the past as well. While I switched to adsense, I could feel the difference in reporting.

Is this usual thing or again I have missed some setting.

Also, what's the solution for caching - without compromising the ecommerce pages?

We aren't able to recommend any caching plugins, as it's outside f our system, however, if your caching plugin is able to exclude certain areas of the site from caching, it would be best to start there.

As for the revenue. Ezoic is currently tracking all visits to the site. Since the area of the site with ads is a side piece (the articles), revenue may look disproportional to traffic. It seems as of right now that there is a delay in revenue reporting. The team is actively working on this. You should see revenue start to fill in over the next day.

Thank Jean for the update. Now I can see the revenue columns filled up. However, the ePMV is 1/20th of what I was getting on Adsense.

Does it grow with time? By when one can expect to see the full potential of it?

We decided to switch to ezoic for better ePMV but it seems to be quite opposite.

urpio please can you clarify this part of your query I'm not sure I understand critical probable cause of failure Are you looking for other reasons why your EPMV isn't inline with what you were getting on adsense?

Hi Heather, I just wanted to make sure that all the possible settings are upto the mark in order to shorten the process of achieving the peak potential instead of discovering one another problem everyday.

Currently the "Leap" is disabled. And all our caching and minifying - performance plugins - are disabled too. The current speed score is: 30.

When can we enable "Leap" and set it up to improve the performance.

Update: I can see the ePMV closing to 1/3 of adsense now. Hopefully it should get there.

Another question: Does the cache hit / miss ratio make significant difference in the ePMV?

urpio Ah i see, thank you for clarifying, when you first join Ezoic the AI technology takes up to 12 weeks to fully understand your site and then in turn fully optimize your websites EPMV.

With having all your Leap and Caching settings switched off this will mean that you aren't fully using all of Ezoic's technology to help with your Core web vitals. To keep things easier to understand and refer back to, I would recommend opening a new thread with any speed or core web vital concerns that you have and we can look into those separately from your EPMV concerns. Please can you confirm in this new thread if the menu of your site is now working correctly again? Thank you.

For your EPMV by using the wordpress plugin and not using the Ezoic cache you will be having a negative impact on your EPMV. When you are cloud integrated and using Ezoic's cache we are able to load up ads much faster than through wordpress integration alone.

I noticed when I was reviewing your site you have some ad categories that have been blocked. I would recommend checking to see if they are blocked in adsense too as this may be giving adsense an unfair advantage. https://pubdash.ezoic.com/ezoicads/adrestrictions/adcategories

Alongside this I would also recommend checking to see that you don't have the auto ads switched on in adsense which can also water down your Ezoic EPMV.

Looking at the ad placeholders on your site they are missing some of the larger sizes - are you ok if I add these in for you?

I'm all ready to go for the cloudflare integration but I don't want my eCommerce pages get messed up. Last time, despite putting them into "disabled by pages", the caching did not allow the customers to place the order.

I want to run ezoic ads on 95% of the pages that gets 90% of the traffic, but can we exclude those 10% of the shops, and product pages?

If yes, we can go for it. I may need your help in setting that up.

As suggested by you, I changed the integration method to cloud as as expected it broke the other applications running on the subdomain.

I excluded the subdomain but no luck. the subdomain is email.abanahomes.com
