My sitemap status is error on google search console, and it appears that my sitemap can be read, but has errors. What happen to this?

Error Status: Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.

From the screengrabs I can see that Google is picking up that your site map is built on HTML which isn't supported.
