Ezoic premium EPMVs tanking

I joined premium on February 1, yet my EPMVs have been tanking in comparison to the growth of my site traffic. I have spoke with a support rep at Ezoic and they said account and site traffic is healthy. I have no idea what is going on and they continue to upgrade my premium account with no explanation to the chart attached.

Anyone have any advice?

You can reach out to them through your Ezoic dashboard here: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/levels and then select the drop down 'Help with analyzing revenue, EPMV, or traffic.

The team work Monday to Friday and so while you are waiting for a response from the team I have taken a look at your Ezoic dashboard and can see that if we look at the landing pages report https://analytics.ezoic.com/reports/content/landingPages and compare the 1st February to date to the previous period your EPMV has grown by 11.12% please can you walk me through where you got the above chart that you have kindly shared and I can then take a look at this for you and go from there? many thanks

Hi Heather,

Yes, I reached out to your support team already and have a call scheduled next week. I just have no idea what's going on here. I'm pulling these numbers directly from my Ezoic dashboard and I'm continuing to see a downward trend in EPMV while my site traffic continues to increase.

nickCC Ah that's great news that you have a meeting in place.

I have taken a look at your account and some of the things that I have noticed are:

1) that the pages that I have checked have a poor ad placeholder set up with ad placeholders missing or multiple ad placeholders of the same name on them.

2) the ad revenue index is lower in March than it was in February this will be impacting all sites globally you can see the ad revenue index here https://adrevenueindex.ezoic.com/ and this blog post walks you though what is happening with ad rates industry wide over the last 6 months https://www.ezoic.com/why-ad-rates-are-so-low-in-q4-2022-and-q1-2023/

3) I noticed that you aren't currently using Flickify videos on your site, these can help with your revenue, your standing with Google and your sites user experience metrics https://pubdash.ezoic.com/flickify/terms-of-use

4) In terms of what is happening with the Premium upgrades that you are seeing here https://premium.ezoic.com/premium/premium-messages these upgrades are based on your overall Ezoic revenue (this doesn't include Premium or Mediation) with the increase in traffic to your site this is increasing your revenue and so the Premium levels are increasing. The increasing Premium levels helps you to get more money back for your investment that you make.

Hi Heather,

I have removed most of the placeholders I generated, but how do I remove these too (in attached image)? I don't see a help article anywhere and I need to start fresh here as my website speed is performing terribly.
Got it on this. Looks like it's down ₁₁% compared to February average index.
Yes, this will slow my website down with video, which is why I don't use this platform.

nickCC Please can you help me to understand why you feel removing the ad placeholders will help your site speed? Ezoic's ad placeholders are built inline with Google specifications and lazy load so that they have the minimum impact on your sites speed and core web vitals. many thanks

When I enable ads on my site, speed significantly drops. Trying to understand if it's because I have generated so many ad placeholders for my website + combination of Ezoic javascript.

With ads active:
Lighthouse won't even load the document because it times out.

Without ads active:
We're seeing 90+ CWV.

I understand, but is there any way to completely remove all of those placements I created I mentioned in my previous comment? I had created a lot of those with the Ezoic chrome extension last week, which I think is what's causing all of these load time issues.

I need to start fresh here. I can't have the name server integration live because it's absolutely killing my website speed, therefore, will start to really hurt my SEO rankings.
