Small amount of AdSense earning on site that's 100% Ezoic

I have noticed a very small amount of impressions and earning on my AdSense account for the domain which is set up for 100% Ezoic advertising, yet the reports are not showing any mediation earnings either.

To be clear we're talking a few pennies here and there. I've been with Ezoic for three months now so it would be strange if any kind of old code etc. is still around, and as far as I know I've removed all AdSense specific code from my site.

Looking at AdSense report for March there were ₆₅₀ "page views" (presumably this is where an AdSense ad has been served), so 20 or so per day.

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this or is this somehow to be expected even when Ezoic is at 100%?

londonblue Ah that is strange, there can be occasions where adsense does earn revenue while the site is set at 100%, this revenue comes from pages that are either excluded from Ezoic, or added to the disabled ads by page app.

Looking at your adsense account for the domain that is with Ezoic you have the auto ads switched on within Google adsense and so this is likely to be where the revenue that you are seeing is coming from. You can switch them off here in your Google adsense account:

You mentioned that you had removed all AdSense code from your site so realistically no AdSense revenue should be generated. Are there any specific dates you could provide so we can cross reference on our side?

It would also be worthwhile for you to reach out to AdSense to check where exactly this revenue is being generated. For example, it could be YouTube monetized earnings...

I'll try that, I thought Ezoic would supersede any AdSense ads unless they were mediated, but perhaps this is a chink. There are certainly enough page views to suggest that Ezoic is missing out on one or more ad spots each time. I'll make the change and see if that changes things. There are a couple of pages which I've excluded from AdSense ads but apart from a single page marked as objectionable content by Ezoic (which wouldn't account for anything like that number of views) I've not (knowingly) switched off Ezoic anywhere else. I'll take a look through my settings just in case.

I looked at an AdSense report for the site suggesting there were still manual ads being run on occasion so there must be an exclusion somewhere.

Edit: Ahh I switched off Ezoic ads for the front page so perhaps that's where some of them are coming from.

It's hard to tell from the AdSense reports if this covers everything or not.
