Ovh banned ip

Hi,
I have an issue with my website, it seems like ovh has banned a bunch of ezoic ip addressed. When i contact them, they say that i need to contact ezoic to check what caused the ban. When i contact ezoic they say that i need to give a list of ip to whitelist to ovh, which ovh doesn't want to hear about. I'm in the middle of this and 60% of my users cannot reach my website which is a huge drop in revenues.

Is there nothing i can do beside changing hosting or leaving ezoic ?

ganon551 Hey thank you for reaching out. I can see you have an on going support case for this issue too.

We have a partnership with OVH and our IP address shortlist is automatically whitelisted by them. May I ask why you feel OVH has banned Ezoic IP addresses and are you able to share which specific ones you feel are banned?

Hi and thank you for your answer.
Whenever i try to access my website, from any device, i get a page from ovh "your ip has been banned". For instance just now the ip listed as banned on the page is "15.236.137.228".
It changes sometimes but every time it matches ezoic's ip addresses.
I called ovh and the support tried to access my website and also got a banned ip page from ovh.

Now some ip addresses still works since i still have about 30% of my usual traffic, but it's a huge loss.

ganon551 Thank you for your reply. OK so this is not something being caused by Ezoic or due to Ezoic.

This is directly happening from OVh and you need to request that they lower the security settings for your domain/hosting package. The IP address shown is your specific device IP not Ezoics.

If you wait a minute on the site it does open. Can you reach back out to OVH and see what they advise?

I called them twice. They only said that they can't do anything since my domain name doesn't point to an ovh ip address. And that i have to check with ezoic why the ip address is blocked.

When i access the website, the ip address i get is never mine but always an ezoic's address, for instance 15.236.137.228, which is according to the list here :

One of ezoic's ip, and every time i get an ip from this list, which indicates the ip addresses from ezoic are being banned. There's no way ovh banned 70% of my audience as it would represent 3000 people banned a day, for suspicious activities. Now the only issue i can think of is to go back to ovh dns as it's less time consuming than changing my hosting provider.

I can make a screenshot with the ip address blocked by ovh, it's always an address listed in ezoic's ips.

ganon551 Thank you for your reply and for confirming this. Ezoic does not block IP addresses and it is rather strange that OVH is blocking them as they are automatically whitelisted by OVH.

I will look into this further on my side and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you. If i switch back to ovh/adsense for now, will i get my premium ezoic black when i Come back ? I have premium members that cannot access what they've paid for and i would like to handle this quickly.

ganon551 I already have opened up a ticket with our engineers just now and they will be working on this asap. Please do not switch back to OVH as this would result in a breach in your Premium contract.

Hi,
I called them with a phone. I received only one email to answer my questions but it's in french and they just say that since my domain name doesn't refer to an ovh dns but to ezoicns, i need to check the issue with you.
Honestly on the phone i don't think the support really understood the issue. I told them that apparently ovh has banned a bunch of ezoic's ips, they told me that i would need to check with ezoic the "commands" that led to the ban. I told them that there's no way for me to check what exactly led to ezoicns ips to be banned, and they told me they couldn't do anything and i should see that with ezoic. I answered the email they sent to me after that phone call and i'm still waiting for their answer.

ganon551 OK can you please reach back out to them as they need to whitelist the Ezoic IPs.

This is something they can 100% can do as we have had other publishers do this with OVH without issue.

I tried twice on the phone but they didn't hear it, so now i don't know what to do, i know that they can take days to answer an email support and i won't let my website down for that long. I'll have to go back to ovh dns no matter the premium contract. I'll wait for their answer to my last email though.

ganon551 Thanks for your response. Please understand that you would be breaching your Premium contract if you move away from Ezoic.

It is best to wait and see what they advise via the email please. This issue is stemming from OVH and on our side we are limited in terms of what we can do.

I'm in contact with Pierre Stirling at ezoic that told they are looking at my issue and they can't fix it by the end of the day they'll remove ezoic proxy for my website so that people can reach it while they try to find a solution.
