UPDATE: I just discovered the answer to my question about how to see revenue by device on a specific page. It's done by setting up segments in Analytics > Content > Pages. I'd still like input from the community on the questions I've bolded below. I'll leave my post in case anyone can learn from it.
I'm hoping for input from the community and from Ezoic personnel - whoever can contribute. I'm having difficulty finding pageviews and revenue on a page level AND by device - desktop and mobile.
I'm trying to figure out why my top two articles have such different revenue amounts. They are very similar in every significant metric that I can find except revenue.
These stats are for the 30-day period ending yesterday.
Article #1
Gets 18.27% of my traffic
Word Count: 2557
Nav. Bounce Rate: .83%
Bounce Rate: 37:57%
Engaged Time: 1:07
Pageviews Per Visit: 1.14
Article #2
Gets 14.48% of my traffic
Word Count: 2592
Nav. Bounce Rate: .87%
Bounce Rate: 15.69%
Engaged Time: 1:35
Pageviews Per Visit: 1.05
Both articles are very similar in the amount of screen real estate they take up and would hypothetically have approximately the same number of ads displaying.
With no further info it might look as though article #2 would have the higher revenue because of a lower bounce rate and higher engaged time.
Actually, article #1 earned 241% more income than article #1. But it only had 26% more pageviews. So, with all the data I can see, the income for article #1 seems disproportionately higher than article #2.
The only metrics that I can think of (with my limited experience and knowledge of these things) is that one or more of these is impacting revenue on article #2:
1) On average, 77% of my visitors are on desktops. But if article #2 is attracting more visitors on mobile than desktop, that could account for some difference in revenue.
2) If a higher percentage of visitors to article #2 are from nations other than the U.S., that might account for a difference in revenue. Given the topic of the article, I seriously doubt the majority of visitors being from anywhere other than the U.S..
3) Both articles are generally related in a broad subject matter, but on a more specific level, article #2 pertains in part to two specific branded products and how a person can use them together. Article #1 is about how to perform a task in general terms. Is it possible that advertisers are willing to pay a higher price for ads presented to a more general audience (article #1) than to an audience who probably already owns the two products being discussed (article #2)?
Am I right in the assumptions listed in 1, 2, and 3 above?
I've been looking through support.ezoic.com and through every tab and page in Big data Analytics and have not been able to find how I can see pageviews and revenue for specific pages broken down for desktop vs mobile. Of course I can see revenue and pageviews generally divided by device, but so far, not for pageviews and revenue per page and per device.
Does anyone know how I can see pageviews and revenue per page and broken down by device? I know I can see revenue by device in the Earning Report on the home page of the Dashboard and the
I have consulted these documents and did not find my answer. I also did several other searches in support.ezoic.com using different terms, but did not find my answer.
