Cloudflare overiding changes on CNAME

Hi there,

Cloudflare is overriding the changes foe CNAME. Check below I need to sort this asap.
I need to change the CNAME 'Canonical Name'
from 'g.ezoic.net' to 'eleftheriabusinesspr.thinkific.com' for
the subdomain 'courses'. AND THAT ...

The Canonical Name is correct inside the DNS settings in your
Ezoic account (I changed these first as recommended), and it is set
to NOT to proxy via Cloudflare.

I have updated the Cloudflare CNAME settings twice now, but Ezoic keeps
changing the Canonical Name back to g.ezoic.net.

Please help us asap.

Monica here from support I hope you're well today!

May I ask if you're facing any issues with the subdomain? The g.ezoic.net simply means that it is proxied through Ezoic, so this is showing as correct for you.

When integrated with Ezoic via the Cloudflare method, Ezoic is acting as the main proxy for your site rather than Cloudflare. This means that any DNS updates required to match the records found at the host need to be made within the Ezoic Dashboard first (Ezoic Dashboard > Settings > DNS Records). These changes will then automatically propagate into Cloudflare.

Note: Making changes to the DNS records in Cloudflare does not work, as any changes made at Cloudflare would just be overwritten by Ezoic. Which is what you're experiencing when it changes back to g.ezoic.net.

That's the thing. We need the subdomain 'courses' to not proxy through Ezoic. Thinkific
NEED the Canonical Name to be my Thinkific URL, not g.ezoic.net.

In the Ezoic DNS settings, I have turned off the option to proxy via Cloudflare, and in Cloudflare
I've set the proxy to DNS only. Please note ...

I have changed the CNAME 'Canonical Name' to my Thinkific URL a couple of different
times now (inside Cloudflare!), and for a short while, the DNS settings are what they need to be, but they keep
getting overridden with g.ezoic.net."

What should we do next?

I've reconfigured some of your back-end settings to ensure the "courses" subdomain is not running through our proxy. Can you please check and see if this has fixed the issue?
