Hi there,
There are a few important points to highlight when comparing Adsense and Ezoic's ad partners, firstly Adsense bids based on CPC, they bid for clicks, whereas Ezoic's ad partners bid based on impressions, CPM. Now while CPC may have a higher payout, it is not guaranteed, and it will be based on previous history of the click through rate, and demand for impressions is more steady.
Furthermore, ad rates have fluctuated quite a bit in the past year, and very few publishers are earning the same amount today as they were the same time last year, this is due to an industry wide cooldown, and will be impacting both Adsense and Ezoic. So while it may be true that you were earning more previously with Adsense, don't forget to acknowledge additional external factors that are at play that could be affecting your earnings.
If you are both recieving better rates with Adsense then I would highly recommend ensuring that your Adsense account is linked to Ezoic and that Mediation is enabled. This will allow Adsense to bid against Ezoic's ad partners to display ads on your site, if they win the bid then you will see earnings appear under the 'Mediation' section of your dashbaord, these will also be recorded within your Adsense account.
This is effectively combining Adsense and Ezoic to ensure that you are not missing out on any revenue.
If you are not seeing any Mediation earnings, this will be because Adsense is not bidding higher than Ezoic's Ad Partners, and while this may be disappointing, you can at least be assured that you are earning the same if not more than what you would have with Adsense alone.
Finally, if your site has been live for us for 4 days, our system has not had enough time to test and optimise ad servings on your site.
As with all scientific testing, we need enough data to be able to make statistically relevant decisions. How quickly a site sees results totally depends on the volume of traffic the site receives, the percentage of traffic you're sending to Ezoic's optimized layouts, and so on. We typically say that a normal pattern of optimization for a site in the Ezoic system is 8 - 12 weeks. Further improvements are produced as the system tests new layouts and gets smarter about what your users like best. But what may work wonderfully on one site, may not work for your users, so we need this initial window to test and find out. Feel free to check out this article for more information on a typical Ezoic timeline.
I recommend that you continue to create great content, and organically grow your traffic, this is the most effective way of improving your site's earnings. And in the meantime, our system can continue testing an developping the most effective layout for your site.
