Disable Ad Exchange On Select Pages

Hi,

I’m looking to turn Adsense Ad Exchange off for select pages without turning off all Ezoic ads on the page. Is there a way to do that?

makorihi Hi there! I don't believe there is a way to turn on just this specific type of ad on a page. Is there a reason you're wanting to prevent these ad types on certain pages? We might be able to help you find a workaround depending on what you're trying to do.

Coley Yep, basically it has to do with Adsense violations on one or two articles. They have ‘partial ad serving’ because it’s borderline from googles point of view, which I’m fine with, but because these pages get a lot of traffic (₁% of total traffic) I’m getting warnings about site-level restrictions from Google. Unfortunately the topic is such that I can’t remove all objectionable content so there will always be some level of violation, I just don’t want it to become site-wide.

And I don’t want to restrict all ad serving because that’ll just hurt revenue.

Monica As Coley mentioned, this is an Ezoic issue. I want to make sure we are clear about that.

makorihi Don't worry, the restricted ad serving on those specific articles shouldn't affect other pages on your site. The impact should stay limited to those articles

MichaelH Even if they're sending me passive-aggressive messages about needing to fix violations that might cause site-level restrictions?

makorihi Unfortunately as this is a Google process we don't have any further information for you, if you are receiving warnings about site-level restrictions I recommend resolving this with Google as soon as you can

I believe Coley was referring to restricting advertisers perhaps through our Advertiser blocker, however this was before you mentioned about Google violations/restrictions. As we are Google Certified Publishing partners sites we work with must also follow all Google content, behavioural and traffic quality policies - you can find more about those here.

As Monica has mention if you are receiving warnings about site-level restrictions we would recommend resolving this with Google as soon as you can, if you get disabled from Google there is no appeal process.
