Sidebar ad size

Hi!

I have a problem with sidebar ad, sometimes the ad is bigger than I have adjust from the placeholder.
The maximum ad width I have enabled is 336 pixels with the min screen size is 1950 pixels.

Presented below is a screenshot depicting a scenario in which the computer screen size is 1536x864. Despite reviewing my settings, I am unable to determine why a 376px advertisement is being displayed in the sidebar.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this matter? Thank you for your assistance! 🙂

Jasse Hi there, thanks for letting us know. I wasn't able to replicate this, but I've gone ahead and adjusted some settings on our end which have been known to cause similar problems.
Please can you clear any caching on your site (plugins, your host, ezoic) and then your browser cache and cookies and let us know if you're still seeing the issue?

Hi, I cleared the cache and tested it on a different laptop. After browsing through various articles for about 5 minutes, I came across the problem.

Hi there! Are there any other pages where this issue is happening? I checked the page given as an example and am not seeing this issue from my end. Are you still seeing this happen on your end?

This feature is on all pages, but it only appears on low resolution screens and you have to refresh several times until it happens.

Jasse Thanks for clarifying, I tested the page again but wasn't able to replicate this exactly. I did update some placeholder settings and size options to see if that helped. Would you mind please clearing your browser cache then checking the page again to see if that helped?

Hi! I can still see this on my computer, as well as on a site where you can test different resolutions:

After a few page refreshes, I got one where the width of the ad was 377px.

Just to fully understand the situation, this only happens on devices that have low-resolution screens correct? The screen may be too small and everything on the page may be condensing and merging together. You may need this placeholder to be disabled when the screen size drops below a certain size.

Hi!

This issue only affects low resolution screens.
I have defined in the css file, the sidebar disappears completely on screens that are too small.
For example, with a screen resolution of 1536x864, there is plenty of space on the side for ads, but I would like it to only display ads of the size I have defined in the palceholder. Now sometimes ads that are wider than specified in the settings appear, examples of this in the screenshots I put.

Jasse Thanks for sharing I can understand this must be frustrating.

Just an update, Our tech team where trying to recreate this to look into what we where seeing and are unable to do so. I am also now upon checking again unable to recreate the sidebar placeholder showing over content on a small screen resolution. Are you still seeing this issue when on a smaller screen resolution?
