Error getting ads.txt, I THINK the issue is with AdsTxtManager.com

I set up an account with AdsTxtManager.com, but when I used the "Manual Setup" in the Ezoic dashboard I'm getting an error that says:

There was an error getting your ads.txt file
We were unable to get the ads.txt file for your site. Please make sure you have correctly set up the file.
Verify that your ads.txt file is loading correctly and is setup through Ezoic: https://goharnett.com/ads.txt

I duplicated the content to my server's ads.txt file (/home/user/public_html/ads.txt), but I still get the same error.

Everything says that Ezoic would make ads.txt redirect to AdsTxtManager automatically, and I guess it is because the last line that you see in the browser isn't in my server's ads.txt. But it's missing some lines! My server file has 2018 lines (most of which are Ezoic), and the one I see online only has 275.

I have other domains that are parked and not going through Ezoic, and they show the ads.txt file from the server properly:

Based on this, the problem has to be with AdsTxtManager.com.

Any suggestions?

GoNC I am currently seeing the Ads.txt as complete and am seeing it on the /ads.txt of your site. Are you still seeing any errors?

Those first 4 lines are new since my first post, but after that there are still only 385 showing. There should be 2018. How many are you seeing?

When I "View Ads.txt" at AdsTxtManager.com, it only shows 383, too. It's supposed to show them immediately, so that shouldn't be an issue of not waiting long enough. FWIW, though, it's been over 48 hours since I set it up.

Thanks for confirming.
I can see at https://golenoir.com/ads.txt there are the 2018 you mentioned and https://goharnett.com/ads.txt does not have the same.
As you have mentioned your other site is not currently on Ezoic so will not be showing the Ezoic sellers.

As you have linked ads.txt manager in Ezoic account you will only see the sellers which you have set for goharnett.com in the Ads.txt Manager account. If you want the other sellers you have mentioned to show you will need to add them to the ads.txt manager account. In ads.txt Manager account you will want to make sure these 2 sellers for Ezoic are selected and all the sellers in these have been selected to show in your ads.txt file:

I did all of that 3 days ago :-/ Screenshot is attached. But you can see that ads.txt isn't showing my Adsense, Ad Manager, or any of the 119 manual entries. And, of course, it's missing the wide majority of the Ezoic sellers.

The ads.txt on golenoir.com comes straight from my server, where I had pasted the entire Ezoic list. So it SHOULD be identical to goharnett.com, or at least pretty close to it.

I see that goharnett.com/ads.txt is showing 383 sellers today, though, so... maybe it'll just take more time to catch up?

I emailed support@adstxtmanager.com on Sept 2 (today is Sept 5), but so far no reply.

The AdsTxtManager system seems to be pretty buggy, and with no support it's just not usable. With it being a bottleneck before I can use Ezoic, it puts me in a position where I can't use Ezoic, either.

Very frustrating :-/

Our entries are constantly being updated with our sellers, so if you previously copied and pasted the entries from an ezoic list these may not be up to date, so I wouldn't use this to compare if the ezoic sellers are correct.

To check if ezoic sellers are added I recommend using the ads.txt validation tool in your dashboard. Just head to ezoic ads - ad transparency - ads.txt and click "run validator". In your case I can see this is showing as good to go:

I would like to check what's going on with your manual entries / google entries. Please can you share ads.txt credentials with us using this secure method:

You can securely share credentials with our team by using the Credential Submission Modal. The modal can be found in your Ezoic Dashboard, under the account menu in the top right corner:

Once you have the modal open, you'll need to fill out the form - all fields are required! Select the domain related to the credentials, enter a description of what the credentials are for, <strong>copy and paste</strong> the URL where the credentials are used, and finally, enter the credentials. Then press submit, and let us know here when you've done that 🙂

Thanks, Monica, I've submitted the data as requested.

The ads.txt file now has 391 lines. I searched for my Adsense, Ad Manager, and 2 other random lines and they did show, so maybe it's working and only has about 200 lines from Ezoic? But I'm still not seeing ANY ads on goharnett.com.

Is AdsTxtManager.com owned by Ezoic? If so, I connected InfoLinks on Saturday but it still shows 0 entries. I tried to use "bulk upload" several times but repeatedly had a general "Error Saving". I was able to add the list under "Manual Entries", but they update regularly, too, so I was hoping for it to be automated.

In terms of ads not showing, this is normal as we're waiting for your Ezoic and Google reviews to be completed. I've manually submitted your site for Google's review now, so you should hear back from both in approximately two weeks.

If you're seeing your Google entries (and I'm seeing ezoic entries) then this looks to be working well for you, at least for the Ezoic/Google automatic entries.

To answer your question on the other entries, yes adstxtmanager.com is owned by Ezoic 🙂
I've refreshed the integration status in there for you, can you please try again? And if this still doesn't work, please can you send me a couple of infolink ads.txt entries so I can try this on my end for you? Looking forward to hearing from you!

I was able to add the Infolinks entries under "Manual Entries" before, but when I click on "Infolinks" under "Authorized Sellers" on the right and try to upload them there, I still get "Error saving!" I just tried a few minutes ago and had the same error.

It's not super important to me, since I could add them under "Manual Entries". But if something is broken then it's probably more important to you :-)

My bigger concern is that Infolinks updates their ads.txt data regularly, so I was hoping that it would be updated automatically the same way that Ezoic's ads.txt is automated. I saw that Infolinks updated their ads.txt on August 23, but I had no idea until this week!
