Publisher ID Not found in Ads.txt file

Hello,

This setup process has always confused me a bit.

Ezoic is showing im all linked up and approved by adsense.

But inside adsense it says Unauthorised: You publisher ID wasn't found in the ads.txt file, and AdSense can't show ads.

I've never really been 100% sure as to how this works, but I tried to upload the Ads.txt snippet via a wordpress app but that doesn't appear to work.

What's the trouble shooting for this? Is this something ezoic does from their end?

I can't recall having this issue on my other sites.

jimlaurence11 Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I was also seeing that the entry was missing. I tried adding it manually from my end and it seems to have been added. Can you please check on the Adsense end to confirm if the change is being detected? Thanks!

Hello,

No it's still the same on Google's end.

Shouldn't it be showing at the bottom of this page if it's registering? https://gagebeasleywildlife.com/ads.txt

In my other sites it's there at the bottom but not this one.

jimlaurence11 Hi James! I do see the entry in the file now, it's with the rest of the google entries (screenshot attached).
It can take some time for the googlebot to crawl the updated ads.txt so it should update in Adsense within the next day or two. You may need to manually prompt Adsense to re-crawl the ads.txt file depending on the options you have in your Adsense dashboard.

Is there a section I can read about to set it up properly for next time?

In the past I assumed it was ezoic doing everything but the last 2 times ive had to add the site into adsense myself?

What's the correct method?

jimlaurence11 They system should always automatically add the Ads.txt lines required for Adsense, however, it seems that you may have had a bug that prevented this. Following the steps done in this thread should allow you to complete the ads.txt if required again.
