A significant difference in the number of visitors

"I have been noticing a significant difference in visitor traffic on my blog between what is shown on Ezoic and what I am charged for in paid traffic on Pinterest. Ezoic shows a substantial variance in the number of visitors. How can you help me?"

Eumesmo Please can you tell us more about the paid for traffic from pinterest? Including the nature of the traffic and how much traffic you're expecting to see (with the exact time period e.g. 1st - 31st August).

Good afternoon. Below, I am sending two screenshots with the results obtained from September 1st to 15th, 2023, and the last day of September 15th. As you can see, there is a significant difference in visitor counts between Ezoic and what I paid for on Pinterest. These numbers only include paid traffic, and there is no organic traffic included. In the first 15 days of September 2023, Ezoic recorded a total of 23,413 visitors, while Pinterest's paid traffic generated 28,377. However, on the last day of September 15th (yesterday), Ezoic recorded 3,802 visitors, while Pinterest generated 5,203 in paid traffic. The difference is glaring. I am paying for traffic, but the visitors are not being counted. Therefore, this practice is becoming unsustainable and is not beneficial for either of us (as I generate income and distribute advertising), especially for me, as it becomes an unviable activity. Thank you.

Eumesmo Thanks, is this real human traffic?
Ezoic's analytics tracking is done at the DNS level and tends to be very accurate, so if you're seeing a discrepancy I recommend checking how Pinterest are tracking this.
I also recommend making sure you're comparing a like for like measure, for example comparing visits vs pageviews wouldn't be an accurate comparison as these are very different measurements.
Do you use Google Analytics? If so it's worth checking how many sessions are being measured here and comparing it to Ezoic visits. This should typically be similar with a 10-15% difference either side due to differences in tracking.
