Ezoic ads in wordpress dashboard

I've recently noticed that I have ads popping up in my wordpress dashboard/ back end. I've never experienced this before, and the ads make it almost impossible to create or edit a blog post since they cover a significant amount of the screen. I thought it might be malware, so I contacted my host, who told me Ezoic is responsible for the ads.

Can someone tell me why Ezoic is putting ads in my wordpress dashboard and how I can get rid of them? As I am Level 1 and no longer have access to Ezoic support.

CreeksideSimplicity We usually automatically stop Ads from showing on admin pages. It can sometimes happen when admin url is not one of the standard urls eg wp-admin or wp-login. What is the end of your admin url after your site name?

To stop ads from showing you can use exclude pages to stop Ezoic working on your Admin: https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/excluded-pages-app

Thank you, it is wp-admin. I went in to Ezoic and excluded that URL from ads but a couple hours later the ads are still showing.

CreeksideSimplicity Hi there, can you please try clearing your browser cache and cookies then checking the WP admin page? A version of the page with ads generating might be cached locally to your browser, clearing the cache and cookies should resolve this. Thanks!

I've cleared the browser cache and cookies and am still seeing the ads.

CreeksideSimplicity I have had your admin pages made static on our system so Ezoic and ads should no longer show. Please clear all cache and cookies on your site and in your browser and you should see this. 🙂

One more question for you - how do I prevent ads from appearing inside my recipe cards?

CreeksideSimplicity Since these are the WordPress plugin placeholders, you'll likely need to use the Ezoic Chrome extension and select "Do Not Show On This Page" for the placeholders inside of each recipe box.
