Ads still showing

Hi there, my site is called fishingcommand, and a while ago, I was seeing ads above my featured image and by my title.

Someone from support said they had disabled the ads but I am still seeing them.

These are the ad locations ...

104 wp_under_page_title under_page_title
103 wp_top_of_page top_of_page
112 wp_under_first_paragraph under_first_paragraph

I went into my settings and clicked "ad restrictions" "disable ads by page" "ad tester" "new rule"

Then I entered the ids

And where its asking for URLs on my site I want this for I just added / so that it's for the whole site.

Is this correct? And if not, then can someone remove these ids above for me?

The best way to disable those specific placeholders is at the source, which is the wordpress plugin ad settings (the "wp_" prefix denotes their origin).
You can setup filters or disable locations right from the plugin in this case 🙂

However, I have had problem with the plugin in the past and it also stops some of my other plugins working.

Is there any other way you can help me with this? I just want those ids to not appear in my blog posts

For Disable Ads by Page, you only restricted those ad placeholder IDs on the homepage.
You will need to select the directory option, not just a single page.
Once you have done that, please be sure to clear your cache (hosting, browser and plugin cache).

There should be a drop-down when you click on Page.

Mohammad2306 Thank again. I do now see the dropdown menu and have selected directory. Now what do I put in the Subdomain option?

seany2164 You can leave that bit as it is 🙂 the * means it will be applied to all subdomains but from what I can see, you do not have any added to your DNS records anyway.

seany2164 The rules look good! Do note you're also using our ad placement service - this also generates top of page, under page title ads etc. So you may want to go back to the Disable Ads by Page App and add more exclusion rules for those ads. Just scroll down in the ID section and you'll see the ads which all start with 'gen'

Thanks ethan, it seems to have worked now.

Can I ask a question.

I have clicked on optimization goals and then chosen "User Experience Focused" but when I go into my site I see ads after every 2 paragraphs.

I dont know why its not lowering the ads?

Our user experience focused option will show less ads. However, if you're wanting to lower the number of ads more then you can use the Max Ads Per Page App (found in Ad Restrictions). This gives more custom control over ad density, but bear in mind that if you do limit the number of ads you'll directly hurt revenue, as less ads = less revenue, and indirectly hurt revenue too as less ads = less opportunity for Ezoic AI testing to take place 🙂
