Sudden Spike in Bot Traffic

I have noticed sudden spike in bot traffic in my site, which is only showing up in Ezoic dashboard and not in Google Analytics. Please fix this issue.

It's not clear what you are referring to. Are you suggesting that the bot traffic in your Ezoic Analytics is not real because it's not displayed in Google Analytics?
Please keep in mind that it's possible to filter out bot traffic in GA and some of it is even automatic (-> https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9888366?hl=en).

Seema Filtering out the traffic from Ezoic wouldn't be the action to take. I do see the traffic for October 16th is particularly low quality - did you recently purchase any traffic that might be responsible for this spike?

If not, I can see you're using Cloudflare integration. Your best bet would be to increase the security level in your Cloudflare dashboard and to take a closer look at the analytics of the bot traffic. From there you could block out specific bot IPs from accessing your site in the future: https://developers.cloudflare.com/waf/tools/ip-access-rules/

Seema Ezoic analytics is more accurate than Google as Ezoic tracks data at the DNS level rather than firing from a script. As I mentioned earlier: . Your best bet would be to increase the security level in your Cloudflare dashboard and to take a closer look at the analytics of the bot traffic. Also, you might just want to see if the traffic drops off in the next day or two and if it does then you should be good to go and there'll be no need to implement any kind of security protocols in Cloudflare.

There's nothing we can do to block the traffic out, you might also reach out to your host for assistance on blocking out the bot traffic too 🙂
