Low Performance scores after Leap Optimization (SiteSpeed)

Hello,

With LEAP optimized by Ezoic, my site scores a 53 in performance on mobile. It was for several months scoring in the high 80's. The site hasnt really changed and I cant figure out how it got so low on the mobile performance side. It is a VPS with 6gb Ram. Does anyone. use plugins that do not impact leap? I want to bring down my LCP, FCP and TTFB times.

Your site scores look good to me, I am seeing scores of 87 on desktop and mobile - where did you see a score of 53?

I would say your best bet for improving site speed would be improving the cache hit rate. Your cache hit rate's only currently 22% and a higher cache hit rate directly correlates with improved speed and core web vital performance. Are you using any caching plugins or caching at the origin server which might be preventing Ezoic's caching app working correctly? I would recommend turning any other caching off so Ezoic's caching app can work more effectively, and you should then see improvements to overall site speed.

I’ve removed caching plugins but yes I did have them previously.

It's best to avoid running one-time tests to look at performance or how your visitors are actually experiencing the site from a UX / speed perspective --- if you use the 'my scores' tab in the Dashboard > LEAP section, you'd see real user data reflective of the core-web vitals metrics, which are the only metrics used by Google in ranking. Further, speed / CWV only account for 2% of ranking factors, something you want to keep in mind when it comes to being overly worried about speed scores. It really comes down to the simple question of 'can my visitors navigate the site and fetch the content without any issues or delays' and that's why using the real-user data from the LEAP dashboard is best 🙂

Tucker_P_Ezoic Thanks. I will leave the settings as they are. Im only concern because in search console it says "No URLs with a good page experience on mobile
90.1% good URLs on desktop" Hopefully this will improve shortly
