Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to turn off the Ezoic SSL so I can use my host’s SSL instead? It seems Ezoic’s SSL is creating issues for my site so I would like to just make the switch. The option to turn off the SSL on the dashboard doesn’t seem to be working.

thetummytrain Hi, what's the issues you're having exactly on the domain which leads you to believe its from Ezoic's SSL? Our SSL App tends to alter SSL certificates depending on your domain settings to avoid issues on sites and to avoid our SSL app clashing with SSL on the origin server

Ethan I host my site on Dreamhost. Whenever I set my wordpress website to https, it goes to a redirect loop when using Ezoic’s SSL. Dreamhost already changed my Wordpress SSL settings to http to help solve the issue but now none of my plugins are working.

thetummytrain Hey, what do you mean by 'Dreamhost already changed my Wordpress SSL settings to http' ? You want the site to be served securely via https. As Ethan pointed out, your SSL setup at Ezoic is designed to respect whatever current SSL setup you have enabled external to Ezoic. Your site is being served via https for me, and I'm not seeing any errors. What exactly is happening with your plugins?

Imogen Dreamhost changed the wordpress url settings from https to http, because if it was in https the site would go into a redirect loop. So now this is what my permalink looks like, and it’s not working for my plugins.

That most likely wasn't needed - and instead you could have just adjusted the Ezoic SSL app settings to stop the redirect loop.

Hi Team,

The domain I have integrated with you is set up for SSL cert - wearehumans.digtial

I also have a domain pointing to the same website - the domain is wearehumans.online

Finally, I have my old domain from which I recently migrated my website to the new domain in October-23 (and therefore redirects still active) - lgbtqwellness.co

My question is - do I need to put Ezoic SSL on the two other domains, or is that not possible because you only have wearehumans.digital integrated with your platform?

Currently, my name servers point to Ezoic for wearehumans.online (the non-integrated domain). Therefore, if I cannot apply the Ezoic SSL certification to this domain, I will need to ensure name servers on wearehumans.online points to my hosting provider, Cloudways so I can renew my SSL with Cloudways' Let's Encrpt.

But because wearehumans.online points to my active website on wearehumans.digital, I don't know if this conflict would cause a problem?

so should set up look like this:
wearehumans.digital - name servers point to Ezoic - Ezoic SSL cert - Cloudways hosted
wearehumans.online - name servers point to Cloudways - Let'sEncypt SSL cert through Cloudways - Cloudways hosted

Each individual domain would need to be applied to Ezoic, and integrated fully, in order for the Ezoic SSL to apply to the site.
You mention a bunch of 'redirects' which we're not sure are related - it's entirely dependent on the root domain and ultimately where users are landing, as that's the domain that would need to be integrated and could use the SSL certificate.

Hi Tucker,

The other two domains are not active websites, they are domains pointing to wearehumans.digital.

For clarity, I have:

Domain 1 - wearehumans.digital - this is my CMS which is integrated with Ezoic and advertising embedded
Domain 2 - wearehumans.online - this is a domain pointing to wearehumans.digital at domain registrar level
Domain 3 - lgbtqwellness.co - this is the previous domain which I ran for two years, and migrated the CMS from this domain to wearehumans.digital in October 2023. It has redirects pointing to wearehumans.digital

Therefore, to make the question clearer:

My question is not 'how do I get Ezoic SSL on all three domains'.
My question is 'do Domains 2 and 3 need to be integrated with Ezoic because they are domains with redirects to Domain 1, being the domain hosting advertising?'

I think you're saying only wearehumans.digital (domain 1) needs to be integrated, but I want to be crystal clear before taking action.

JamieK Domain 2 and 3 are correctly redirecting to domain one currently. No need to integrate domain two and three as they're automatically routing traffic to the domain you're using with Ezoic. In other words, no need to take any action on your end, your setup is all good.
