Most pages are returning 404 errors (urgent)

I hope you're doing well.

A few days ago, I started editing existing articles on my website. Starting from yesterday, an updated article started to display a 404 page instead of the content. Today a few more, and now I realize that most of the articles on my website are returning 404 errors.

I've tried a few fixes within WordPress without success yet. I've also tried to clear the Ezoic cache, but got this error when I tried doing so for multiple articles:

"There was an error validating your request, please reload the page. If the error persists, please contact support."

Most likely the majority of the visitors are seeing 404 pages now, which is terrible for SEO.

Any idea what could be going on here?

Can you share a page that is showing a 404? I am trying to replicate this but am unsuccessful; however, I do see this page without content - /muscle-building-bell-peppers/
Do you have any redirects setup within WordPress or have external caching/security enabled?

I'm mostly working on the German articles. Quite a few of them are returning 404 errors.

Yes, I do have some redirects setup with Rank Math, but everything was working fine in the past.

No, I don't have any caching enabled except Ezoic.

I spoke with the support of my hosting, and they helped me to solve this issue.

It seems like the newest version of WordPress isn't stable, so we downgraded it to the previous one.

All the pages are live again now!
