Want to restart with Ezoic but need ads restricted in menu area

I've had a few days off Ezoic to try and get all of my menu issues fixed. I now want to switch Ezoic back on but first want to make sure that there is nothing that is going to interfere with my top menu as it was doing before (see previous threads on this issue). I think one of your colleagues said that they'd switched these top ads off but wanted to check this before I switch it back on as I can't stand having the site broken any longer! Thanks Julie

Thanks for following up. You'l want to refer to the last reply in the previous thread. It should be okay to restart the ads now.

Hi I have restarted with Ezoic but my core web vitals are really suffering. Also, even though the Ezoic staff told me they would exclude ads from the header section of my site (as it always breaks the menus), I still have a menu issue. Please see this comment from my hosting team BigScoots:

juliem Apologies about the header, I've added in an additional exclusion rule and you should no longer see an issue with this area of the site. If you head to your site (after clearing your cache) and activate the chrome extension, you should no longer see a placeholder populating here. If you do, can you send me a screenshot?

I thought that ads had been restricted in my header menu area but looking on mobile there are ads all over the header breaking it up (i.e. inbetween the main article image and its title) and making it look terrible. How is this possible if ads are restricted there?

It was an AI placeholder at the top of the page (top_of_page_1) -- if you use chrome on your desktop computer, you can right click + inspect, and then force a mobile version before activating the chrome extension to review the placeholder setup (screenshot 1).

The second screenshot shows the Humix video player, which you can adjust which viewport it displays in via the Dashboard > HUMIX > Site tab 🙂
