I have received this 'Alternate page with proper canonical tag These pages aren't indexed or served on Google' from google after enabling the extend article feature in Ezoic. I have disabled the extend articles but still facing the issues.
The original URLs should still have been indexed - it's fairly normal for there to be multiple URLs reached by Google, but they only index the canonical. Were you seeing the original URL not being indexed?
