Too many ads

Hi there, I have a site called fishingcommand and I have sent messages to support in the past but I still cant seem to get this sorted. It is stressing me out.

I have clicked the setting for "user experience" so that there are not too many ads on my site. I have also added other things like ad restrictions in the past, but no matter what I do my site looks like a complete mess.

There are ads after every 2 paragraphs, theres videos popping up that I thought I disabled in the past.

Can someone help me to have a website that has an ad appear every 5 paragraphs and the only video slider to appear is at the bottom right of the site, but no videos appearing at the top of articles

Keep in mind that the ad placements that you are seeing when you visit your site are not necessarily going to be the same for other users. The AI can adjust ad density and the number of ads per page for different user profiles.

That being said, you can log in to your publisher dashboard and go to Ezoic Ads -> Ad Configuration to customize options such as ad density and minimum number of words before ads are inserted.

I have been altering settings, lowering density, changing other things in the settings to lower the amount of ads but I still keep seeing so many ads.

I think in the past I activated the plugin and it added a lot of placeholders.

Can someone help me to get a moderate amount of ads as I can see ads coming so frequently on my posts. I have seen this on different devices and ip adresses.

I'm not seeing a custom setting for Ad Density. Did you make sure to save the changes?

You can enable additional limits through Ezoic Ads -> Ad Restrictions, e.g. Max Ads per Page.

Hi Muhammad, I have changed the ad density to moderate but still see a lot of ads.

I just added moderate again and clicked save to make sure I did that last time.

But will this lower the ads now or will some placeholders still keep showing?

seany2164 Ad density rules will change the number of ads per viewport, so a lower density should mean that there's more spacing between ads. I'd set up some max ads per page rules too if you want to further limit the number of ads, but bear in mind that this won't apply to the ad types you have enabled here: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/ezoicads/adtypes

For example, if the max ads is set at 10 per page, you'd have 10 ads + the anchor, native ads etc 🙂

What I am trying to do is get some space between ads on my site, I dont want a user to see an ad and then few paragraphs later there is another ad shown.

I have tried all the different settings like ads per page, density, etc but I still keep getting placeholders appearing after only 2 paragraphs

How do I achieve what I am looking for?

seany2164 - you should be able to do this through ad density settings. It's currently set at moderate so I'd try lowering it. Just a couple of things to be aware of though:

Be sure to clear your cache and cookies when you make any changes to see them process on your end
Many website owners will see more ads than typical users on your page. I'm scrolling multiple viewports between ads when viewing your pages for example - so just be aware that what you're viewing may not be reflective of standard UX on the site.

No matter what discussion I have, and going back and forth with support nothing changes.

I cant seem to do this by talking with support so I would like someone to do this for me.

seany2164 You can use CSS Exclusions (https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/excluding-humix-videos-on-certain-pages-or-areas) to exclude Humix videos from certain types of sections on the page. Have you tried this method?

Hi Mohammaed, I have looked at the page link you sent but I can't see anyting for a way to disable all videos showing at the top of my page and my introduction.

All I want for my 2 sites is to have no humix videos showing at the top of my page in the post title and not showing in my introduction.

Can someone do this for me for my websites ontrackfishing.com and fishingcommand.com

I have been going back and forth for so long now and I would be grateful if someone could achieve this for me, otherwise I feel I would have to find another solution.

seany2164 The way to do this would be heading here in your dashboard and then selecting a different viewport for the videos to be inserted. Just bear in mind lower viewports can reduce revenue

Hi Ethan, When I go to the viewpoints it is saying 3-4 viewpoint, 2nd viewpoint. What does this all mean, how to I get the video to play bottom right of the post or in general lower than introduction?

seany2164 if you change the viewport to 3-4, or 5+, it'll push the video down the page 🙂

5+ would be the lowest insertion point but also likely to yield lowest revenue.
