Migration to Bluehost Causes Issues - DNS Updates Needed?

Hello-

I recently migrated my Wordpress site from Siteground to Bluehost. As part of the migration, I updated my A records at Ezoic to point to the Bluehost IP address. However, ever since migration I've continued to experience issues when clicking on links on my website --specifically, if I click a link, I am redirected from my domain to a temporary Bluehost domain.

After countless hours of troubleshooting with Bluehost support (numerous times they've said they fixed it), they've indicated that it is an issue with the A records configured at Ezoic. They pointed to dnschecker.org, which shows multiple IP addresses for my site, none of which match their IP address (i.e., they do not match the A record IP address).

Can you please let me know if it appears that there is an issue that should be resolved from Ezoic's side? Every Bluehost agent gives me different information, so it's hard for me to know where this issue stems from.

BloggerN00b Hey Matt, if you send us over a screenshot of the A record from Bluehost, or just the DNS records overall, we'll double check that the IP matches the IP at Ezoic. Its important you send the IP as it is listed directly at Bluehost and not how the IP appears at dnschecker.org, as dnschecker can provide incorrect information if a site is proxied by Ezoic.

When you send over the IP/screenshot we should be able to get it sorted pretty quick for you

Hi Ethan, here is a screenshot of the A record from Bluehost. Bluehost tech support continues to state that dnschecker.org shows multiple IP addresses that do not match theirs (162.241.244.142), and is the likely cause of my website issues. Hopefully you can confirm whether things are OK on the Ezoic side?

BloggerN00b Hey Matt, as I mentioned, we need to disregard dnschecker (even if Bluehost keep mentioning it). Other IPs will show because your site's getting routed through Ezoic's proxy, and when sites get routed through Ezoic it is via AWS servers, so the IPs Bluehost see are from Ezoic/AWS servers 🙂

Looking at the Ezoic DNS, your A records look correct, your site is live, routed through Ezoic and showing ads. I'm not able to recreate the error you mentioned. Can you clear every cache you have of the site? That should resolve it. Also, on the backend it looks like you are/were using Siteground Optimizer - disable that plugin if its in use as it isn't compatible with Ezoic and could well be caching a broken version of the site
