  • Video is not the main content of the page

Hi,
Good day to everyone, please I need your help to solve the issue of "Video is not the main content of the page". I have dedicated a page for the video with a small description and added chapters to the video which I have created with screen-pal.

I have used the Google search console to index the video, but unfortunately, I got the error message "Video is not the main content of the page".
What can I do to rectify this video, I have several videos included within posts and I want to separate these videos from the posts and create a dedicated page for each video.
Thanks
Maged Kamel.

you need to make sure that the video is above the fold. If you're having to scroll through multiple viewports in order to reach the video, then google likely won't categorize it as the main focus of the page. Hope this helps!

Thanks, but I am sorry I do not understand "above the Fold".

I have only put a small description.

Viewport is the visible part of a webpage when a user lands on a site. In the example you're sharing, the 'first viewport' (or that initial bit the visitor would see on the page) doesn't include the video, but rather the short description you've written up.
What we're suggesting is that you put the description after the video if you'd like for the video to potentially be defined as the 'main content', since it would then be in the initial viewport.

Right now it's considered in the 'second viewport' because a visitor would need to scroll down the page to reach the video.

Thanks a lot for your help. I will do the Revision and I hope it will work.
