Mediation is not guaranteed to earn revenue - it's allowing AdSense to bid against the Ezoic partners (which includes your Premium partnership) and if they outbid Ezoic their ads would show. It's pretty typical to see Ezoic ad partners outbid AdSense, particularly if your site doesn't have a longstanding relationship with AdSense.
