Hi there - hope you're keeping well 🚀
Before we jump into how you can optimize the LEAP setup and your own site for improved Core Web Vitals scores, we always like to reframe the conversation a bit. Often, publishers believe that a poor CWV metric is super-important to traffic and organic search ranking - which from billions of data points proves to be incorrect. It's estimated that CWV metrics account for around 2% of all ranking factors - so the assertion that a dropping score (that's still passing, not failing) is contributing to a drop in traffic is typically an incorrect assumption. (See graphic below).
That being said, CWV metrics should be considered a reporting metric that can help you ensure that site health is in a good place. It can be an indicator of issues with user experience, but you'd want to then look at the engagement data for the site to see if they actually correlate.
From looking at the data on your site's user engagement, there's been no net-negative impact of the drop in some of your CWV metrics. Therefore, this isn't necessarily something we'd advise getting too focused on long term if the intention is to increase traffic and user engagement with the site. The best thing we'd recommend, if the worry is about losing traffic, is not CWV metrics, but publishing highly engaging, unique content, that provides valuable experience to a visitor --- those are the things that Google looks for when it comes to ranking.
If you're interested in working on the CWV, we'd definitely recommend using the LEAP 'technologies' tab, as well as the recommendations made when you test a poor performing URL in the lab.
