The impact of shared videos on the SEO of our sites

Hi, I have an interesting question -
All the shared videos we create are created under the links of our website.
Isn't it problematic that Google looks at the videos we create in different niches for the purpose of sharing on other sites (and not on our site) as videos of a site that spreads far beyond the niche it deals with and therefore it destroys the site's SEO?
I'm really afraid of the consequences that the shared videos I create will have on my website.
Do your systems know how to make it not destroy the reputation of our sites in the eyes of Google? And how do they do it?

Do you mean the videos you created are unrelated to your actual site content? If you are just looking to add video content to share on Humix without a site, you can do so through Humix Direct.

Mohammad2306 I mean that I see everyone doing it through their main domain, even though the videos are unrelated to the domain, and were uploaded only to be shared on other websites...
Do you think I shouldn't upload shared videos through my domain? (and everyone else too?)

I don't believe that's necessarily the case and 'everyone' appears to be an overstatement. Ultimately, it's about your site content and you decide how to manage it. We always advise publishers to keep the content on the site coherent and engaging. The previous link was related to Humix videos unrelated to a specific site.

Mohammad2306 OK, so how do I transfer all the recent videos I created (to be shared videos only) to another Humix channel? (so they don't ruin my site's SEO)
I just created a general Humix channel that is not linked to my sites and I would love to transfer them to it. The channel is called in the name of my username and is linked to my Ezoic user.
I would love to know if it is possible for you to please transfer the 23 videos (with their number of views) to the new channel.

Avscor Hi, the Humix videos unrelated to your niche are non-indexed in Console, correct? If so, then you've no need to worry about the affect on SEO. Only indexed pages can affect your SEO, as confirmed by Google here. In that case you don't need to create a seperate Humix account or channel 🙂

Ethan How can I make sure that the videos have not been indexed by Google?
I don't see in the console an option to unindex the videos (or in Humix). and I think it has already started damaging the SEO of my site...
In any case, I would prefer to transfer the last 23 shared videos I created (with their views) to the new channel so that they will not be linked to my sites, and will stand on their own.
Can you help me do it, please?

Mohammad2306 I did, but I decided I don't want the shared videos under the domain of my website.
Please let me know how can I transfer the videos with the views to the new Humix channel I created in the name of my user under my Ezoic user. I don't want to re-upload them as Humix will say it's a "Duplicate Humix Video".

You could just update your Vide Content Settings for your own site.
https://pubdash.ezoic.com/humix/site/video-content-settings -> If a relevant video from your library cannot be found for a page:...

If you don't want videos to be shared across domains, you can turn off that option here.
https://pubdash.ezoic.com/humix/studio/videos -> Allow Cross-Domain Access
The same page allows makes it possibl for you to delete videos if necessary.

Mohammad2306 Unfortunately, it's not what I tried to explain -
I created some videos unrelated to my site, only in order to share them with other sites.
After that, I found out that they have the domain of my site, and I don't want them to exist under my site's domain.
So I created a separate Humix user (through my Ezoic account in the name of my user) in order to move the 23 shared videos I created there.
How can I do it? Can you please move them to the new user with their views? Or is there a way for me to move them myself?

Avscor Can you send us a screenshot from search console showing that the videos were being indexed? We have many publishers who've got videos unrelated to their niche tied to their Humix account. We also promote uploading videos to Humix that may not necessarily be related to your website niche, which wouldn't be something we'd do if it was expected to hurt SEO.

Ethan I don't know what you want me to take a screenshot of in the search console. Please give me instructions on how to get to the page in question.
Also, how can I make sure that Humix shared videos aren't indexed and ruining my site's SEO? Where can I set no-index in the process of uploading videos?
And how do I make sure that the videos I upload that do belong to my site will be indexed?

Avscor Humix videos will not be being indexed by default, so as long as you can check this on your end, you will not need to set up any additional rules to disallow the indexing of these pages. If you head to Google Search Console > navigate to the URL inspection tool > click on 'URL inspection' under the 'index' section > enter the Humix URL > review the results
