Issues with Litespeed Cache and Sitemap Updates

  • zaid replied to this.

zaid I understand that Litespeed Cache may not be fully compatible with Ezoic, and I've encountered a specific problem that I hope you can help resolve. When I post new articles, they do not appear in the sitemap immediately. To make them show up, I have to manually clear the cache. This process is not only inconvenient but also hinders the timely indexing of my content. Given this situation, I am looking for your recommendations on how to address this issue effectively. Specifically: Is there a way to configure Litespeed Cache to automatically update the sitemap when new content is posted, similar to the feature available in WP Rocket? Would you recommend switching to Ezoic Leap to manage this aspect better? (but I do not want an ezoic leap)

zaid Hi, as you mentioned, Ezoic and Litespeed aren't compatible, which is why the content isn't updating immediately for you. There isn't a workaround here other than disabling Litespeed and using Ezoic caching exclusively.

Let us know if you have additional questions about this.

If i use wp rocket, Then content is update or not

What are your thoughts about this : Configure Cache Purging Rules in Litespeed Cache:

Go to LiteSpeed Cache > Settings > Purge.
Under Auto Purge Rules for Publish/Update, ensure that options related to purging post caches are enabled.
Add the sitemap URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml) to the Purge URLs section to ensure the sitemap is purged when new content is published.
          Exclude Sitemap from Ezoic Caching:

Log in to your Ezoic dashboard.
Go to Caching > Cache Rules.
Add a rule to exclude the sitemap URL from caching.
By configuring these settings, you can better manage the caching between Litespeed Cache and Ezoic, ensuring that your sitemap is updated promptly and your new content is indexed efficiently. If needed, consider seeking support from a developer to implement more advanced synchronization between the two systems.

We cannot comment on your LS configuration settings. Yes, you can easily exclude the sitemap URL from Ezoic caching but it's not clear if that's what causing your issue.

That being said, it's probably more effective to just disable LS caching on your site. Separately, since your site is built with WordPress, you can use Ezoic's CDN Manager. https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/how-can-i-set-up-the-ezoic-wordpress-plugin-for-cdn-management
