Seeking guidance to address declining cache hit rate on website

Hi Ezoic Team,

I'm writing to express my concern about a declining cache hit rate on my website. Recently, I’ve observed a steady decrease from over 80% to its current level of 72.5%.

I've already implemented the suggestions outlined in your article "How to increase cache hit rate" but haven't seen the desired improvement.

To resolve this issue effectively, I would greatly appreciate guidance from an Ezoic expert. Please let me know the next steps I should take.

Hi there - hope you're well!

That sort of drop in percentage shouldn't be too concerning - any caching hit rate above 60% is positive, and you're still seeing about 3 out of every 4 visits cached which is extremely positive.
Cache hit rate will fluctuate depending on many factors, including publishing new content / updating content. A small change like you're seeing is not an indication of something not working, but rather very natural over time.

Tucker_P_Ezoic Mine keeps dropping, too, and is now down to 68. I have read and gone through the wizard, but I am not sure if there are other issues or suggestions for me to change. Is it possible for someone to review my site and let me know if it is optimized properly?

It looks like you purged your cache in recent days. That can also cause your cache hit rate to drop for some time.

Another thing to note since I use Siteground is this comes up: Enabling Memcached should enhance the performance, but it’s important to coordinate with both your host and Ezoic to ensure compatibility and efficiency.

Is that compatible with Ezoic, or should I leave this unchecked?

MrCastIron Leaving it unchecked will be the best option, ezoic caching is fine without it.
And there's the probability of having caching conflicts when there is an external cache.

One more question, please? My site is now saying a persistent object cache makes your site’s database more efficient, resulting in faster load times. Does Ezoic do this, or is that a Siteground issue? Or how should I address this?

That's not really an issue. It's just another caching feature that they recommend. Given the current traffic level to your site, it may not be necessary but you can check with your hosting provider if they offer it.
