Google has revved up their policing of fraudulent traffic because of the pandemic and its effects on ad rates. Google wants to get as much of the junk as they can out of the ecosystem to make sure ad rates remain as high as possible.
Even as a partner, they are very bureaucratic to deal with. As I stated originally, if you were using AdSense right now, you’d likely be in a tough spot where you’d never have a chance to monetize with Google demand again and there’d be no one to plead your case to.
Couple other things I’ll mention:
Our quality team is building customizations just for Income School to help stop Google from flagging your sites. Due to many having very little traffic, Google is especially honing in (see all the forum posts online about AdSense being disabled, not approving new sites right now). This will likely help resolve these issues in the future.
Realize that the traffic — known or unknown — is invalid (even if only a small amount) and it’s something that’s a risk. I think we can help, and we are working on multiple other solutions, but this is something that we are challenged by because of our efforts to work with smaller publishers early. I hate that I have to defend us for trying to be the one solution in this space that is truly transparent and accessible to all, but it’s not easy, and it comes with the territory.
Additionally, Ezoic has been seeing a major influx in customers due to our performance vs. most others during the pandemic. Even as we scale up support staff, training and a remote environment as inherent challenges. That said, we think that many support related queries can be eliminated with better tools designed to help with education\expectations\etc.
