Now that you know why incorporating a video strategy into your site is a smart move, let's talk about how to do it and how Humix and Flickify make that all possible.
Importing Your Existing Video (Humix)

Your hard work on YouTube isn't lost! Humix allows you to repurpose that content by importing your videos from your channel.
Within a few clicks, you can start earning money on those videos (as long as you've added your placeholders)
Adding Video Placeholders (Humix)
Video placeholders are a little different to display ad placeholders. With display ads, you want to put a considerable amount, all throughout your site, paying attention to your blog posts.
With video placeholders, there are two key areas you want to target:

- At the top of your sidebar.
- Close to the top of the page in the main body.
Why is that?
As you probably already know, the sidebar is a great place to put a sticky ad that scrolls with your reader on desktop. But, it's also a great area that ensures every desktop visitor is shown a video, providing the page they land on has a sidebar! hint hint
And, if you have floating settings turned on, it will also scroll with them for the duration of time they are on the page (or until they close the video!)
You still want to have a placeholder near the top of your article to cover your mobile traffic. As on mobile, the sidebar is typically not displayed until the end of the post.
This doesn't need to be right at the top, but past the introduction or maybe just before the featured image if you already have those moved below the fold.
Maximizing Your Video Revenue By Sharing & Displaying (Humix)

One of the best features in Humix, is the ability to share your videos through the Humix network. Even if you don't have a lot of traffic, you can still flip the "Grow:Share Videos" switch which gives other site owners permission to display your videos on relevant pages on their sites.
You both get a cut of the ad revenue and it also links back to you!
Likewise, you can allow other Humix content creators' videos to be displayed on your site when you don't have a suitable video uploaded - so you never miss out on a chance to display a video and collect some ad revenue.
Scaling Up Your Video Content Using Flickify
If you are starting from scratch and creating videos to upload as opposed to importing pre-existing ones, Flickify can help you do this.
As previously mentioned, Flickify is an AI-powered video creation tool that makes scaling up your video content extremely easy.
You still have to do a little script-writing or editing, but other things like planning, recording, and edit bloopers are eliminated:
Step 1: Grab the URL of the article you want to make into a video.

Step 2: Let Flickify extract the key information to use as a video script or use your own script. You can keep the default settings as they are.

Step 3: Adding your own video, images, and audio to the media library.
You definitely want to utilize stock image, audio, and video platforms as well as any of your own unique media. Places like Canva, Unsplash, and Pexels have free B-roll and royalty-free media you can use in your creations.
You also have premium options with more variety, such as Canva Pro, Storyblocks, and Vecteezy. Those are some of my personal favorites.
Step 4: Adding soundtracks and editing scenes.
If you have allowed Flickify to grab your URL, it will automatically extract images under headings and apply them to your scenes!
If you have submitted your own script you can allow it to try to match media based on the context of the slides, and then adjust those to your liking.
Step 5: Uploading To Humix
Whether you are importing your current YouTube library to Humix or uploading your Flickify video, here is where you will do all of your SEO.
Take this time to write a good video description and use tags and keywords that complement your blog post.
Once you’ve done that, link it to your blog post, create or add it to a playlist and then embed it to a placeholder.
Rinse and repeat!
Maximize Your Revenue Potential
You should now have an extensive library full of engaging videos all across your site, powered up and monetized.
But the earnings do not have to stop there. You can maximize your video revenue by doing a few things.
Sharing: As previously mentioned, you can share these videos with the Humix network and earn a cut.
Adjusting your video ad settings: By default, Humix optimizes this for you, but you can adjust how the ads are displayed and how aggressively you want to monetize your videos.
Add a “Videos” tab to your site menu. You can add a custom link to your site menu that links to your Humix page. With your logo set up, it will look like you have your very own video platform within your site!

Embed playlists: Once you have enough videos on a singular topic or related topics, it is a good idea to embed playlists on relevant pages rather than a single video. If your visitor watches your first video to the end, it will be much better for them to be given another related video after the ad, instead of looping the same one.
