For written content it can take up to 6 months for Google to find and put your website page in the right place within the SERP rankings. When you are writing seasonal content always think 3 - 6 months ahead. So in January focusing on writing your seasonal content for April - June. In June start to write your seasonal content for October - December.
There are lots of websites that can help you to find out what global events and holidays are happening in 2023. You can then use this information to see what holidays and events are relevant to your niche and plan in content around them.
For example, maybe your blog is in the creative or arts niche, you could write content for event days such as 'Send a card to a Friend day', 'Wear a Hat day' and 'Bird Day' or maybe you are in the home baking niche and want to write content that connects in with 'National Doughnut week' or 'Food allergy awareness week' or you might be running a jobs site and want to write about content connected to 'Learning at work week' or 'Public service Day'.
When these days take place there is a lot of promotion about them on television and social media. On your own social media you can link to your content on these days and help to get the content in front of your potential readers through using hashtags.
On your site in the lead up to these event days you could have the relevant pages linked to your sidebar so that readers who arrive on your site might then go onto additional pages. The longer your reader spends on your site the better this is both from Google seeing that your site has strong user experience metrics and from an advertisers point of view who like to see strong user experience metrics. Research has shown that readers who are connected into the content of the blog are more likely to be engaged with the ads positively.
Also the more time your readers spend on your website page, the more time Ezoic has to monetize your content to them.
