Removing auto generated ads

charmbeautify I do apologize for any confusion, but as stated before your AI placeholders and your generated placeholders are different and not connected in any way. I can see since you have disabled your AI placeholders that there are no longer ads showing in your content as before, this is what you wanted to stop correct?

charmbeautify Our Ad Tester team has suggested that you don't delete these placeholders. How you have it now is that all of your WP placeholders are disabled. Instead of creating new placeholders, you will want to change the ones you already have to what you want.

krivera But those placeholders were generated for a totally different theme. There are about 60 of them and fixing every single of them is going to take days/weeks. Deleting and clicking auto generate would be so much faster and better! Those two buttons from the plugin (screenshot below) should probably remove all of those placeholders, which would let me generate a new set. But unfortunately, they only redirect me, and nothing more happened.

charmbeautify WordPress Generated placeholders are not theme-specific. They work within WordPress to attempt to identify ad insertion locations based on the markup of the page after the theme has been processed. If we were to delete and regenerate the placeholders, they would be placed in the exact same location. Which then would cause a drop in revenue cause they would lose their performance information.

So as suggested by my team, if you are unhappy with the generated placeholders, you will need to make changes to these placeholders. If they are causing issues, we would be happy to take a further look but you would need to reenable the palceholders. Thanks!

krivera Ok, I did enable all placeholders in Ezoic's plugin settings, but the ads are not showing. I've found out that it is because the API key is missing after the reinstallation of the plugin, but unfortunately the API key was on the settings page of Ezoic's dashboard but it is missing right now. I can even remember that it was there, but it isn't right now. And also my other sites don't have an API key on the settings page. Was it moved? The plugin still redirects to the settings page.

Got it, API key added, and also the ads are enabled right now, but still the ads are not showing on the site.

charmbeautify When visiting your site, I am able to see ads show. You may need to clear your cache and cookies as you may be cached into the old version.

krivera You were right. The cache was the issue, now I can see the ads, and they all look like they should! Thank you for your help 🙂
