Disabling script delay is going to negatively affect CWV metrics.
The 'sticky' menu / navigation might be contributing to the issue, or even potentially 'testing' a different layout.

Tucker_P_Ezoic I took out the sticky menu lets see what happens. I believe it takes a few days to gather new data from update layouts etc...? thank you
Thank you everyone. CLS in desktop has not improved yet, even considering I went back to the settings I had before the decline. I guess I will give it some more time and see... not sure if you guys have any further recommendations. Thank you
CLS is measured over a 28 day period, so it may take more than a few days for things to improve. All live checks on the site appear to be returning good CLS numbers - let's keep an eye on things over the next few days
HarryB Thank you, everyone. You are great
Still bad CLS on desktop, waiting to see some improvements, I will give it 1-2 weeks more and see if it improves as gtmetrix and pageinsights come back great for most pages. thanks again, guys
hey guys. I hope you are well. I wonder if this type of ad is affecting the CLS (see attached image) What are they called? Is there any way to optimize these containers? thank you!
Thanks Charlie. I am not really sure what's causing the CLS problem. When I tested the pages on GTMETRIX it gave me an A for most pages and passed all the core web vitals... I am not sure at this point. Let me know if you have any suggestions please thanks
We'd definitely advise against using GTMetrix to make any decisions on site speed / UX / core-web vitals, just to be clear.
Regarding CLS, you can use the LEAP dashboard to look at pages that are not performing well for that particular CWV metric, and then use the Ezoic chrome extension to test further and look at the potential cause.
Tucker_P_Ezoic Thank you. I also use pagespeed. They both come back without significant issues when testing most pages, so the problem with the CLS is some shifting occurring after the page was loaded.
Again, you can use the LEAP dashboard to both diagnose why a CLS issue might be occurring and take action accordingly.
The guides at support.ezoic.com will be helpful as well, you can search CLS there and find several to help you along.
Tucker_P_Ezoic Hi Tucker, I am using ofc using Leap and the Lab. I am testing a page that is returning 0.30+ CLS on mobile — these are the results when I open the test with Lab. It passed and there aren't further recommendations from Leap as the page is passing the test...
ferferfer considering these results, there is some shifting happening after the page was loaded
That's not what's being suggested necessarily. Are you testing on Desktop, as that's where you originally were looking 7 days ago.
If the lab is showing no issue, and the field data isn't showing reports, then there probably isn't anything to worry about since that's using actual real-user data and not the one time tests PSI or gtmetrix would be using.
Ok. Thank you. Yes. testing on Desktop. Considering lab is not showing issues. I will give it more time and see if it improves. Thanks again
