Hello

Please see my page views and visits analytics attached. They are reporting very few compared with reality as per google analytics. For example average views approx 40 per day in ezoic. But the past two days 29th and 30th I’ve received 1,258 Users according to Google analytics. I’ve attached some other screenshots of Google analytics traffic by users, I’ve had a large traffic increase in past few days. Not showing anywhere in ezoic. It’s all completely organic.

ISSUE: Concerned why ezoic is missing all this traffic, which means I’m missing out on earned revenue? Thank you.

    Foxinthecity Just because your analytics is reporting much more in Google, we shouldn't just assume the Google reporting is correct.

    Have you purchased traffic over the last few days that would cause this spike in Google Analytics, and were Ezoic and Google recording similar levels of traffic before this spike occurred?

      Hi Ethan,
      I have recently redesigned the site including its on-site SEO and can see for some keywords I monitor rankings have improved as Google has started to reindex. I have not purchased any traffic, it’s all organic. Yes I think they were more consistent up until the last few days. Now they are very out of sync. GA is telling as of right now I have 10 real-time users in last 30mins and 199 Users today. These types of numbers are clearly not being reflected in Ezoic, which is a shame. I can provide you with GA access if you think it would help? Thank you.

        7 days later

        Mohammad2306 thank you so much for your kind support. I have just given you access to GA. You will see the traffic is so much higher than what is being recognised by Ezoic, hence my ad revenue is tiny compared with what i think should be getting for the amount of page views/users. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts. I have also uploaded this weeks ezoic numbers so you can see the difference.

          Foxinthecity Taking another look at this, it does appear you're using a few plugins that aren't entirely compatible with Ezoic, some of which can cause issues with tracking. Can you try turning off Siteground Optimizer to see if that helps with Ezoic tracking? If not, then you'd want to try turn off your other caching plugins too, should you have any, since its typically those plugins that'd affect our tracking.

            Hi Ethan
            Thanks for your support. I’ve switched off cache and on siteground. I’understand that each platform will report differently but the difference is significant! Yesteday for example there is a huge difference in reporting, GA shows over 700 users, all organic, yet max I’m only ever seeing in ezoic reporting is 30-50 per day. Something is not right here.

            You already have GA access, so you can see the details yourself, but I’ve also added screenshot for confirmation. Thank you.

              Foxinthecity We can definitely see a different in your pageviews, we'll need to track your data for a couple of days to see if disabling the conflicting plugins has resolved the issue. Can you reach out on Friday and we can take a look over your data for the past couple of days?

                Imogen hello, please could I kindly request you look further into my issue. You will my users and page views are into the hundreds every day and I’m seeing maybe 30-50 max being recognised in ezoic. It’s not right, as I’m missing out on a significant chunk of revenue every month. Thank you.

                  Foxinthecity We've been taking a look into this today with the team and we believe there is still some form of caching interfering here - are you using Cloudflare? Can you make sure that your Cloudflare caching settings have been set to standard? And can you send over an updated list of your plugins?

                    Imogen Thank you. I have spoken to my hosting provider SiteGround and have inserted some code into my .htaccess file which turns of their caching apparently. Ive also switched off in all places i could see.

                    This was the code snippet from this guideline:
                    https://eu.siteground.com/kb/disable-dynamic-caching-website/#Managing_the_cache_on_a_WordPress_website

                    <IfModule mod_headers.c>
                    Header set Cache-Control "private"
                    </IfModule>

                    They do not use CloudFlare.

                    Regarding my plugins this is list:

                    I flushed all my cache in LEAP cache setting. Would disabling the LEAP cloud caching make any difference or unrelated to this issue? thanks.

                    Looking at last 30 days GA this is whats happening. Defo not showing in Ezoic.

                    • Jan replied to this.

                      Foxinthecity Yeah, looking backwards we will not be able to backfill data, but now that you have made these changes with Siteground we'll want to check things over the next couple of days to further confirm if that resolved the issue or not.

                        Hi Team

                        Please can you check to see if the changes regarding switching off CDN and all cache plugins has made a difference? I’m concerned that with the CDN off it will have a negative impact on my overall site speed. Not sure if it’s the resolve. Please advise asap.

                        You have access to my GA so please look there and compare with what you are seeing in Ezoic reporting and confirm what is the solution or next steps. It looks to me what Ezoic is reporting is significant to underreporting the reality. Even my real-time views are at 30 which is often what Ezoic is reporting for a whole day! 🙁 Thank you appreciate all your help with this.

                          Connecting Ezoic will give you access to our CDN which is industry leading in terms of performance - disconnecting from another CDN shouldn't cause issues with speed

                          That being said I'm not seeing updated visits right now. So we're going to check in with our tech team and see about next steps

                            Foxinthecity Can you try disabling Jetpack and Jetpack boost please? We have previously seen sites experience issues with our tracking whilst having these plugins installed. If you can disable these two plugins and reach out in a few days time, we can take another look into the metrics.

                              Have disabled jetpack boost. By the way these are my nameservers on hosting and my domain. I appreciate we are trying things as process of elimination but I’m concerned with the CDN at siteground switched off and other cache optimisations that it could cause my page to run super slow. So please do look into this as a priority for me as my page traffic has been increasing I don’t want to jeopardise this.

                                You still have access to a CDN through Ezoic. With respect to site speed, you'll want to log in and go to LEAP to view additional recommendations to improve performance.

                                  Mohammad2306 okay. Well main thing is we resolve my clicks being recognised by Ezoic. Don’t see traffic in real-time. Everything is switched off now jetpack etc… hopefully your tech team can advise thanks
