Mobile Cache drops and Desktop increases

Hi,

I’ve just changed to a Plus VPS service and my mobile cache rate keeps dropping it was over 80% and now dropped to 70% but the desktop has increased.

Any way to increase the cache rate if thing hadn’t changed previously? See attached.

It continues to drop. Its dropped 12% in a week. Any reason?

MarcM Just taking a look at your setup, you appear to be using Lightspeed cache. This isn't compatible with Ezoic and is likely causing the drop in the cache hit rate. Try disabling this plugin and you should see the cache hit rate improve. If not, you'd want to contact your host and ask if the new VPS comes with any additional caching. If that is the case, get the new caching settings turned off and you should be good to go. Let us know if not!

Ethan It was certainly a case of be careful what you’re asking for you just might get it. In asking if the VPS has any caching features this was the response I got.

MarcM I’ve deactivated the LiteSpeed Cache as of this writing and I’m debugging urls that have had missed cache hits.

MarcM It does look like Ezoic is able to cache again on mobile. I went to homepage and got uncached, and then refreshing I got cache hit. The cache hit % will continue to increase over the next few weeks as pages get cached around the network.

Jan Heya Jan. I know you said that it will improve over the next few weeks, but will it continue to drop until it increases also? It dropped again even after disabling the LiteSpeed Plugin.

MarcM just reviewing the logs, it looks like you cleared the cache for the whole domain on 4th December - this will cause the cache rate to drop further until the pages are revisited by users and recached, so for some pages this will take a while if they don't receive a lot of traffic, so it's best to just clear cache by URL when you update a post on your website as this allows the rest of the site to remain cached, and then you can allow cache hits to build up over the next few weeks.
