rinki I hope you are well. I can totally understand why you would be looking to have a minimalistic look of ads for your site.
Like anything in business it's about the balance of all the different goals that you are looking to achieve. The more restrictions that you have on your site around ads, the less you are going to earn.
Releasing some of these restrictions and then looking at your data is a great approach to have to see what impact these changes have had on your readers. If you need any help understanding the data that you are seeing in the coming weeks please do reach out to us and we can help you with this.
It's important to note that with Ezoic the ads are based on AI technology that are constantly learning more about how your readers are reacting to the ads and the elements of the page. The AI technology shows the right ad in the right place for that reader based on the optimization goals that you have set in your Ezoic dashboard.
Whilst intuitively it can feel right to restrict the volume and size of ads on your site as a way to give your readers a better experience it doesn't necessarily mean that will happen as the technology may know that a different size ad or a different position ad would work better but can't place it on the site as the option to do this has been removed.
It's also important to note that for yourself as a Publisher you are going to your site multiple times a day and so are considered by the system as a - super user - someone who is not impacted by ads. When you go to your site multiple times a day you are seeing positions, volume and type of ads that wont be the same as what your readers are seeing. Taking a data driven approach to understanding what your readers are seeing is the best way to understand how the AI is reacting to each reader on average.
Alongside the restrictions that you have placed on your ad placeholders on your site you have severe restrictions within your Ezoic dashboard which are limiting the type and volume of ads that Ezoic can show.
One rule set that you have on is stopping your anchor ads from showing which can account for up to 70% of your EPMV. If you feel comfortable to do so I would recommend deleting this ruleset: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/ezoicads/adrestrictions/adrestrictions
I've gone through your site and updated the placeholders, the next step for you to do is to set up the responsive ads, the instructions on how to do this are here: https://community.ezoic.com/d/4157-how-to-set-up-responsive-ad-placeholders
The changes that we have made today wont have a negative impact on your revenue in Q4.
As a next step I would recommend booking a Premium review with our team here: https://premium.ezoic.com/premium/scheduleReview The team can help you to understand your data better and also to understand the benefits of Premium and how to use them to grow your business further.
I hope that helps please do give me a shout here if you have any further questions or concerns.
