Hi,

When I paste the web address of any article into the browser's address bar, it redirects me to spam websites. I host the website on Ezoic hosting. I don't know how to access the key files to check the code. How should I resolve this? I also cannot directly ask an Ezoic consultant for help.

przemkas Hi, you're in direct contact with Ezoic staff here in the Community. Are you able to elaborate on the issue you're having? I just accessed your site and I'm not being directed away to any other sites, your content is fine on my end. It might be handy to send over a video of the issue you're facing.

Also, do go ahead and disable SSL Insecure Content Fixer. Ezoic hosting doesn't tend to work well with SSL plugins, so we tend to recommend disabling those for sites on Ezoic hosting.

Hi, Hi, thanks for your response. I'm sending a short video as requested. I hope you'll see what I'm getting at.

Have you recently updated or installed any new plugins? Looks like it could be a plugin responsible for this, so I'd recommend walking back any recent changes you made until the issue stops happening. If nothing fixes it please do let me know and we can go from there.

Lately, I haven't installed any new plugins, but I don't rule out the possibility that the problem may have arisen during the updates of the existing ones. Unfortunately, there were several updates and I don't remember which ones were updated. I have individually deactivated some of them, but I'm still being redirected to spam.

If you can't remember which were updated then I'd recommend deactivating all of them in turn to find the culprit. I appreciate this may take some time, but you'll need to remove the erroneous plugin in order to fix the issue.

I have individually deactivated and activated almost every plugin (except the Ezoic plugin), and it still redirects me to spammy websites.

przemkas I'd recommend scanning your files for malware - you can access your .htaccess file via SFTP. If you head to the Wordpress dashboard > manage credentials you will find your user login details for SFPT: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/wp-hosting/main

There are no suspicious entries in the .htaccess file. My articles are still redirecting to spammy sites, none of your advice is helping. I really need real help, I've been struggling with this issue for several days now and nothing.

We have to keep in mind that Ezoic free hosting is a self-service tool, with limited troubleshooting from both our staff and engineers (as outlined in the service expectations which you agree to before starting the process of migration). Further, a redirect like this is not caused by Ezoic, but rather someone within the site files which is why we're offering you steps to troubleshoot from your end.

We'd suggest deactivating all of the plugins for a period of time, and clearing all caching for the website at that time (Dashboard > LEAP > Caching > Clear All button) - then checking from a new browser window.
We'd also suggest using a scanning tool to check for malware.
