Hi. This really applies to all posts and pages where I have allowed ads.

I have the wp placeholders disabled, and I have AI placeholders only.

In Chrome extension, the AI placeholders are identified as AI_Placeholder:Show_1, Show_2, etc, with no ID number as in the ezoicads dashboard.

Is it possible to get the ID's to show when activating the chrome extension?

Also, when I choose not to show an AI placeholder on one page or across the domain, I get an error.

Any clarification is appreciated. Thank you.

adinrain Hey, what error are you seeing when you try and disable the AI placeholder using the chrome extension?

It is better to exclude ads from showing from a specific area of your site using the CSS exclusions rather than removing the actual placeholder. I'd recommend using the exclusion tool in Ad Configuration to get set up with this. If you remove an AI placeholder from across the site, such as AI_Placeholder:Show_1, this could prevent this ad location from showing successfully on a part of the site where it doesn't cause any disruption or issue.

Hi, Imogen. Thank you for the reply.
I'm attaching an image. This error has been appearing for 2 days whether I delete on this page only or the domain in chrome extension. And i cannot identify it in ezoicads dashboard as in chrome extension it is named show-5 and not a proper id number, unless i start counting from the top which is a hassle.

I see your recommendation for not deleting ai placeholders. I will use CSS exclusions, though sometimes I don't understand the correct selector to use.
What about the numbering Imogen? show-1 instead of an id number

adinrain The option to replace the current labels is currently not available. We recommend using the exclusion filters. In addition, you can use the Ad Restrictions application in your publisher dashboard to exclude AI placeholders from certain positions.

Hi, Mohammad. Nice hint. The only problem is that the ai placeholders on a webpage are shown as show-1, etc, which is not easily correlated with the list of Position Type in your image. It will have to be by trial and error

Just tried the method in your image. Not easy if the placeholder name on the webpage does not match the position type in the list.
It would be much better to disable a placeholder for that webpage using chrome extension, or have the placeholder id number or position type mentioned.
Any idea what is this error message I get when I click on Don't Show an AI-placeholder on this webpage in chrome extension?

You may want to reset your browser settings to default, clear your cache and try again.
That said, it's preferable to use the exclusion rules. Otherwise another AI placeholder can be generated in a similar position.

I wish to use the exclusion rules, but still cannot correlate the placeholder name to that in the list.

I reset chrome to default settings, cleared cache and cookies. Still the placeholder names are show-1, etc.

Any other idea pls to show the proper id of placeholders in chrome extension?

Thanks Mohammad. The only way I could identify the ad id is via Inspect. An AI placeholder show-2 for example is identified thru Inspect by 711. I could then exclude it, because 711 corresponds to AI mid content.

It is a hassle, so if you can suggest ideas to restore the proper id of AI placeholders (number and location) in chrome extension, it would be much appreciated. Mind you, this is happening only with AI placeholders, not wp_ and not those I insert.

It's not possible to enable it as an option with the Chrome extension. There can also be other AI placeholders in similar positions in the future so the best way is to use the Exclusion filters to categorically exclude placeholders from certain types of locations, e.g. by div, class, ID, or element.
