For some reason the option "ignore cache-control: no-cache" is missing from my cache options. I am integrated with Cloudflare. My cache hit percentage is about 25%. Also I am running a WordPress site with the Ezoic plugin installed. Any ideas on how to get that option back is appreciated! Thanks!
When we visit this page, 'override cache control headers' is an available option here: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/leap/caching
Yes .... but I need the option I mentioned above: "ignore cache-control: no-cache"
That option is not available... are you saying they are the same or it has been renamed??
Thanks!
Where are you seeing this referenced exactly? If it's a reason for a 'cache miss', that the 'ignore cache-control: no cache' header is present, then the solution is to turn 'override cache control headers' to YES.
Look at the Ezoic Support article ([https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/how-to-improve-my-cache-hit-rate]) and scroll down to section b: Override cache control headers. Look at the screenshot - it shows the setting I am referencing and it is set to ON. I don't even have that setting on my LEAP cache setting options.
Oops! Looks like our updated guide isn't published / still showing an outdated version that was changed - great catch! We'll make sure to publish the update ASAP. That setting is built into override cache control headers now 🙂
Thanks for the help with that! If you don't mind may I ask another question now? When I look at the debug cache tab and run my homepage (or any page) the debug cache results for the property status is 403 Forbidden. Any idea what I can look at that would cause that error? I'm surprised the site even works if the pages are all showing 403 errors???
Thanks again!
Can you check Cloudflare and make sure that if you have page rules set up, that they are either Bypass or Standard?

Thanks! I checked Cloudflare under page rules and I only have one with these settings:
www.barkleyandpaws.com/* Cache Level: Standard
Do you have Litespeed caching enabled? Can you try turning that off?
Mohammad2306 Disabled it in the Wordpress plugin ... no change except the site is noticeable slower loading
I'm still seeing it. Have you deleted it?
x-litespeed-cache hit
Mohammad2306 Sorry ... I turned it back on ... I can turn it off again and you can check to see if it is still running. Disabling it now.
Did you delete the plugin? This shows up in headers: x-litespeed-tag
Mohammad2306 I did not delete the plugin.... does it need to be completely removed?
barkleyandpaws -- okay ... I have deleted the plugin completely from the site.
Okay, I'm seeing Ezoic cache hits on some pages. The cache hit rate is something you'd need to monitor over several days to see if there's a noticeable change.
Mohammad2306 Thanks ... will do!
The cache miss rate for yesterday was 100% ... any ideas what is wrong? This seems to be getting worse instead of better... ughh
I'm not seeing 100% cache miss rate. The stats for yesterday might not have been updated yet when you checked. That said, the log shows that you have cleared the cache for the whole domain and purged Cloudflare multiple times over the last few days. The cache hit rate is going to be lower when you keep clearing the chache.
