Unless the two pages are pretty much the same, it may not quite be a fair comparison. Things like one page having more java script can cause a page to be slower. More (or heavier) images can contribute.
Also, depending upon which speed test tool you use, if it runs the two site tests from different locations around the world, that can account for a difference.
Are they built on exactly the same technology? WordPress? Same themes? Exactly the same plugins? Was the test on the Ezoic site run before it had been cached on Ezoic? Pages may not be cached right away if there are no requests for it. Once there is a request from somewhere (Google, etc.), the next request should be cached. If you run the test on the Ezoic site once and get a slower reading than you get the second time, caching may be the culprit.
There are more things than those that can be responsible in different site speed readings.
