  • Shifting from shared hosting to VPS histing

I am planning to shift to hostinger VPS hosting because shared hosting is impacting the ranking. However the problem is that EZOIC name server is integrated in my domain which is in Godaddy. So could you please help me that what are the steps to shift from shared hosting (greengeek) to hostinger(VPS) without making the site down.
Please note that: Nameserver is added in my Godaddy account.

The majority of site errors can typically be resolved using one of the solutions below. It is advised that you troubleshoot using this advice whilst you wait for a member of the Ezoic team to get back to you.

    1. Clear out your browser cache

There is a chance that you are cached into an older, erroring version of your site. Please clear out your cache or try viewing the URL as domain.com/?nocache. If you see the site is live, you can be assured that it is a caching issue and the site is not actually down

    2. Origin Error

This includes the following errors: 500, Origin, 520, 403 forbidden, 401, 503. If you are seeing an origin error on the site, we advise you to follow the advice found in this thread: https://community.ezoic.com/d/10310-what-to-do-if-you-see-an-origin-error

If your host isn’t able to whitelist Ezoic’s IPs, please inform the Ezoic team of this and await potential next steps.

    3. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

This means that you need to update the records in your Ezoic DNS settings. Please check to see if the DNS records in Ezoic match up with the DNS records at your host. If they do not, you will need to edit the records in the Ezoic DNS settings. The following guide will help you with this: https://community.ezoic.com/d/11329-what-to-do-if-you-see-a-compatibility-error

    4. SSL errors, such as ‘Your connection is not private’ and ‘NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

We advise you to disable any SSL plugins and SSL at your host. Once you’ve disabled any third party SSL technologies make sure to clear the cache and check if the error persists.

    5. Other errors

If you are still seeing another kind of error error, send over a screenshot of the specific error message you’re seeing on your site alongside a screenshot of the DNS records from your host to allow the Ezoic team to look into this quicker for you. If you have managed to resolve the error, let us know in the thread!

Let me know about how to transfer from shared hosting to VPS.

If Hostinger require you to change name serves to complete the hosting transfer then you can do so, which will disconnect you from Ezoic. Once the hosting transfer is complete you can just reintegrate with Ezoic by changing name servers again. It won't have any effect on your hosting.

HarryB Know the nameserver is integrated into domain level, Is it ok ,If I use WordPress plugin instead of direct nameserver integration?

We'd advise against plugin integration if cloud integration is possible for the site. You mentioned speed in the initial message, and the plugin is not nearly as fast as cloud integrations.
We'd advise using nameserver integration, it works well with Hostinger sites typically and gives you full access to the Ezoic suite of tools including sitespeed assistance through LEAP and caching.

Tucker_P_Ezoic I am currently utilizing cloud hosting with dedicated ip address. If I opt for nameserver integration, it may disrupt server connectivity, as previously experienced with GreenGeeks shared hosting. Presently, I am utilizing Hostinger cloud hosting with a dedicated IP address. If I proceed with Ezoic nameserver integration, what would be the purpose of having a dedicated IP address?

We're not sure we understand the nature of the question.

Cloud integration simply means routing traffic through the reverse proxy setup - the host remains in place, with no change to where the actual content is being hosted (the server IP that's dedicated to the site).
                https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/ezoic-cloud-integration

Having a dedicated IP address typically means access to more options with the host - such as whitelisting proxied IPs like you'd be using with Ezoic. We have many, many sites using Hostinger without issue via cloud methods of integration. It sounds like there's a misunderstanding of what a cloud integration with Ezoic means exactly, so we'd encourage you to read the guide above and have a look around the support.ezoic.com guides on the topic to help with your understanding.

Ok. how would I integrate it using nameserver and how would I activate cloudflare?

sadique You'll find detailed instructions on how to integrate via your dashboard: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/settings/connection/siteintegration

Essentially, it is just a case of updating to Ezoic's nameservers at the domain registrar. You're also already connected to the Ezoic Cloudflare App as you can see here: https://pubdash.ezoic.com/settings/connection/cloudflare. So no need to do anything further to activate Cloudflare on your domain

integrated both of the sites beingoptimist.com and dealafterreview.com again with nameserver integration. now what next steps?

                        All the setup done correctly.
DNS added, Webmail in hostinger working fine. However when trying to sync email in Outlook on my Windows computer then it is not working even after adding Incoming server (IMAP) and Outgoing server (SMTP)

Are you getting a specific error message in outlook? If so, can you send over a screenshot so we can investigate further?

                            Thank you for your reply.
As I was waiting for your reply for the last two days as their was no response, finally I fixed it my self. Now the question is everything is fixed including the nameserver. However their is n o growth in revenue, I can see in one of my blog that the organic traffic has started increasing however the earning is very low.

                              Mohammad2306 OK. Thank you.
Last question and after that I will end this discussion. What if I want to reduce the no. of ads. The ads are showing a lot due to which the speed of the site is decreasing.

You can enable ad restrictions if you prefer, for example Max Ads per Page or Disable Ads Above the Fold. Keep in mind, however, that restricting ads this way will also reduce your overall ad revenue. It is not uncommon for publishers to overestimae this factor. When it comes to SEO, your content quality ultimately plays a much larger role.
