Hi There,
My website has consistently had low EMPV, especially on mobile.
reviewing the figures, mobile is $4.20 and desktop is $14.87 on average.

Is there something that I have missed? I have been on premium for a few months but obviously a lower tier. Also, my cache miss rate has always been 0% so not sure if that is a factor.

Thanks,

oldrd001 Hey, you can expect to see lower ePMV/ revenue on mobile. Mobile traffic pays substantially less than desktop traffic for a number of different reasons

EPMV can be impacted by hundreds of factors varying from niche, to audience location, to user engagement and much more. Whilst it’s not always easy to pinpoint exactly what may be causing a low EPMV on your site (it’s likely to be a mix of multiple factors), we’d recommend the following to ensure that you’re getting the most out of the Ezoic system. I recommend you check out our interactive EPMV blog post: Our blog post can identify why your site isn’t performing as well as you’d like. You can find it here : https://www.ezoic.com/epmv-declining-the-only-way-to-know-why/. Just make sure that you’re logged into your Ezoic account when you access the page.

The cache hit rate is definitely concerning, if you are seeing 0% cache hit rate this typically means you have some form of conflicting caching enabled. Can you reach out to your host and ask them to disable server side caching on their end? I've just updated a couple of your cache settings, such as your max cache age, and I've also turned on cache control headers. This will override rules usually set by a plugin or host that can prevent Ezoic and other CDN's from caching your content.

Thanks for that Imogen. With the EMPV hopefully it picks up with the CDN caching and improved core vitals which Im currently failing. I noticed that the All Optimization Opportunities in the levels - i.e "Placeholder Variety" is very poor and low. Is this something I have to do or will Ezoic's machine learning do this?

Regarding the CDN caching, when would I expect to know if the changes we have made are working?
      Thanks

oldrd001 Can you go to LEAP -> Caching and turn on Override Cache Control Headers? You can them monitor your caching stats over the next days. It's also possible to check the cache hit rate in Big Data Analytics. Right now, this report is only showing Cache Misses.

You don't seem to have a sidebar for your content pages, so there are no sidebar placeholders on the site. If / when you redesign your site in the future, you may want to consider including a sidebar as it provides additional ad space for high-performing units.

Thanks i have completed all the CDN related suggestions and we will see how we go. Thanks.

            Good morning,
I have confirmed with my hosting they have disabled all caching on their end last week. Looking at my dashboards, I continue to see no hits on the caching. Can we please have a look at this and double check that the configurations are correct.

I also have no caching plugins on the site.

            Thanks,

Looks like your miniumum cache age was too high, meaning that many of your assets weren't being cached. I've adjusted this for you now and hopefully that should fix the issue for you. Be aware it can take a couple of days for this to start to take effect, but let meknow if you're starting to see an improvement.

                8 days later

Good Morning, the Cache hit rate has been climbing which is good, as has the EMPV since switching to WP.
However, I have now noticed an issue where my newly published content is not visible. When I check my site as a normal everyday user my latest article - VTS vs VGS: Which ETF Is Has The Best Growth?

Cannot be seen, Ezoic is the only caching I have on the site and no prior issues with new content not being visible.

                  Thanks, worked a treat

oldrd001 I've not been able to recreate on my end, scrolling through the entire article I don't see large gaps after any image. Can you send us a screenshot of how it looks on your end so we can try recreate?

The issue could potentially be due to an incompatibility between your setup and one of the Leap optimization settings but we can look into it more when we're able to recreate the issue

Hello, I also have the problem of low EPMV, especially on mobile devices. Namely, when I compare EPMV from previous week of this February and the same time period last year, I see roughly 30% reduction of EPMV on mobile. As Ad Revenue Index for both of those periods is roughly the same, i suspect this drop has something to do with my site.
During the past two months or so, I have been noticing less and less ad placeholders being filled with ads. Big data analytics confirm this. This February, majority of pageviews had 1,2 or 3 ads shown. February last year had very few pageviews with 1 or 2 ads, with majority of pageviews having around 6 ads shown.
I understand Ezoic system won't sell my ad places it the bid doesn't meet the minimal bid requirement, to stop bidders from buying my inventory cheaply. However, my analysis of ads shown per page and EPMV betwen this and last February makes me think showing more ads on my site could increase earnings. So I would like to ask you few things:

                      1. Can you manually reduce minimal bid for my website only? My website operates in a small and poor market, so I believe it needs lower threshold than website from US, UK and similar countries.
                      2. Do you have any other idea I should check out regarding this issue?

bojo The ad revenue index can vary by country. You may be looking at the U.S. index. You can also see that when you compare February 2023 vs February 2024, your average engaged time per visit is down roughly 17%. Visitors spending less time on your site can affect your EPMV too. There are a myriad of different factors. The percentage of higher-paying desktop traffic has also decreased somewhat relative to last year. You could try additional ad formats to increase revenue. For instance, on desktop, you could add a sticky sidebar ad. It's also possible to add video content to your site through Humix.

Mohammad2306 Hi Mohammad! Thanks for taking your time with my issue. I will definitely be looking over this, hoping things work out in the end. I also have sticky sidebar on desktops. However, I use custom implementation, so I disabled this option in ezoic to prevent conflicts. Thanks again!

Ethan Hi Ethan, I have attached two images both from mobile and desktop. To capture both I have used google chrome.
That being said I personally use firefox and that also shows.

i have also noticed that my pages with table of contents are extended beyond what they should be which - as an example https://www.thelogicalinvestor.com.au/debt-recycling-in-australia/

                          Thanks for the help

Thanks Mohammad. I think I may have confused two seperate issues. The first two images still experience that same issue that Ethan responded to. The 3 image of the table of contents was a different issue it would seem.

https://www.thelogicalinvestor.com.au/ivv-vs-ndq/ - this page still experiences the wide gaps still the introduction of the caching.

Ethan mentioned a possibility compatibility issue with LEAP. Have you checked if the issue persists with LEAP turned off temporarily?

Ive turned off leap for mobile and desktop, how soon would I expect to see changes?
